Choctaw Trip: Can I match last year's 3 RF in 30 minutes
So last year, June 8,2022, I posted the results of our annual family visit to Missouri to see Sweet C's last surviving family member up there. Her Aunt Betty turns 98 this year, limited by arthritis but as spry of mind as anyone you know. And, oh what stories from this NY Yankee #1 fan. From times past knowing Mickey Mantle (when he played AA ball in her home town) to stories of the past in Missouri. So last year I hit 3 Royal Flushes within 30 minutes at Choctaw, Durant Casino and Resort and had my name drawn for $1,250. What a night! So, again we will stay there on the way up and back. Going up with a positive attitude but realistically know it probably ain't going to be that much luck this time. Hey, maybe Sweet C will be the one this time. Wish us luck!

Wishing the two of you lots of great hands and a very successful VP trip. Enjoy your visit with Aunt Betty. Sounds like a super person even if she is a NY Yankee fan. May she retain her health and cognitive faculties to age 100 and beyond.

Ditto and Ditto. Enjoy everything. My good friend ( former head concierge at Mohegan Sun ) ‘s mom power walked with hand held weights right up until age 98. A long and healthy life is the most wonderful gift of all.

A quick review of our trip.
Day 1: Choctaw Durant, OK
Got in early afternoon and ate at our favorite "Main Street BarBQ" - some of the best BBQ and I"m from Texas. My favorite machines (100 play) multi-denom's were taken by 3 ladies from the Dallas area up for the evening. Finally, around 11:00 they headed home and I played DW, Joker, Bonus, JOB, and DDB all to no avail. Meanwhile, Sweet C was having the same type of results.
Day 2&3: Downstream, Quapaw OK
Again got in early but visited family and came back that evening. Great luxurious room. Their VP is not only lousy but many machines in great need of repair. We both went through our night's bankroll without any great hits.
Day 3 Celebrated Aunt B's 98th birthday. Play was the same for night 3 with one great run when I sat a bar machine (which I rarely do) it was only 1 of 6 that had keys that weren't broke. (I'd estimate 50% of the VP machines were defective). Got a good streak going and tripled my last bit of bankroll money before everything went south. I'd been out earlier had I not caught several nice Joker straight flushes and quads. Never saw 4 deuces through 3 nights of play.
Day 4: Choctaw Durant, OK in early and another wonderful room in the sky tower. Had a quick meal and I couldn't hit anything, refilled my day's bank roll and was down to less than $100 when Sweet C texted her wonderful Hearts 25¢ Royal. Our only good hit of the trip.
Next try is back to Coushatta for an evening. Getting rooms at GN for a grandson to have a Batchelor's party and golf for two days with buds so we'll stay close by at Coushatta with his mom to save the two hour drive back home.
BTW: Heat index here has been 112-116 for 4 straight days with 100 temps. Last night the night temp was 84 at 11:00 pm and 83 at 2:00 a.m. Thank gosh for AC. I remember growing up with out it. I could never make it now. Too old and spoiled. Take care all!

Larry, hope things turn around for you and Sweet C VP-wise. Hope the rest of your trip, Aunt B's 98th birthday celebration and the grandson's bachelor party went well.

Ditto. Our air conditioning growing up was a cold washcloth on the back of our neck. Yes, Ct can hit 95-105 and humid too as can NY. OTA can vouch for that. Even though growing up I always had a convertible after age 20 or so, I still needed air once in awhile. Ok, phase 2…an old canister vacum cleaner filled with ice, clipped onto my car window, and a piece of vacuum hose running from the back end of the vac toward me or my girl friend in the front seat. Worked great, but only lasted about a half hour and sometimes moisture in the hose dripped on our neck.
. PS….LL…try hand sanitizer on those sticky buttons. Works great unless they are busted beyond repair. Sometimes the button cover is missing on the old game kings and the light below blinds you. I made my own at home and if I remember, carry one with me in my pocket. Note…if I remember.
