Santan Mountain Casino Scheduled to Open June 30.
The fourth Gila River Casino in Metro Phoenix, San Tan Mountain, will open June 30 just south of Chandler. As I mentioned previously, it is only minutes from where I live. The tribe just issued a press release highlighting features of the new facility. Nothing on VP, just that there will be 813 slots. What I found noteworthy is that Santan Mountain will have large-scale windows and natural light and will not allow smoking inside. Here is a link to the press release (Please note one needs to click on "continue reading" to see the entire document.) https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/tripid ... -AA1bm8td?

It reminds me of Revel, now Ocean, in AC. Enormous windows, natural light. Amazing views, including the Atlantic. No AC casino is surviving sans smoke.

Gila River's 3 other casinos went smoke-free after reopening following the pandemic shutdown. They seem to be doing well.

Just went to the casino to check it out. Beautiful facility. Spacious and airy. Everything is open. Played a little quarter DDB at the bar, 9/5 with progressive royal. Didn't have time to check out paytables and other machines. Based on the one I played, I would guess they are the same or very similar to Wild Horse Pass.

All poker machines (bar and stand-alone) that I checked have the same pay tables for single line. DDB, quarter 9/5, dollar 9/6, TDB same as DDB, JOB, quarter 8/5, dollar 9/5. I did not look at nickel, multiple-line, or non-basic games (such as Super Times Pay, Ultimate X, etc.).
