There are ways to get "free play" while "earning" it on 100%+ slots and VP.onemoretry wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2023 5:16 amSince you "earned" it, how can you say it's "free" play?olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 7:27 pmI was able to earn based on play 100 bucks in each of the gaming days free play.

Just using that term because that is what the casino uses. Yes is can be very costly to earn Free Play, but once you have it, your next session could be over 100 percent. Long term though, for instance at Mohegan when you have a certain level for a 100 buck free play award, at least for me, it adds 1/2 of one percent or so to my return. For instance, I need to run about 18,000 coin in to earn 100 in so called free play. However, on triple status point days, I only need to run about 6,000 through for the same 100 bucks. That adds 1 1/2 percent or so to my return. In that scenario, it is a good deal long term.

Is there such a thing as "free play" when patronizing an online casino? I have never played for real money at an online casino so I would not know. If the answer is no, then this would dramatically change the trajectory of some of these posts.

I thought a "flat betting" thread would be kryptonite for olds jetaway, but he found a gear I didn't know he had.
It may be added into your displayed balance, or indicated separately as a bonus balance alongside your cash balance.

Basically yes, but often with different parameters and terminology. They may call it a bonus, and you may need to wager much more than 1x to "clear" it.

In my opinion, it depends what you're playing video poker for. If you are maintaining a bankroll or getting something from the casino that requires playthrough, flat betting is the way to go.
If you're wanting to win a big jackpot like you're playing the lottery, move your bet around a lot and bet in a volatile way. When I'm in lottery mode, I like betting really low short coined nickels for a while and doing big brief high denom bursts when it heats up or seems "overdue" (ha!).

Is that 100 for every 6,000 coin in? Or do they cap it at once for 6,000 and that's it?olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2023 8:21 amJust using that term because that is what the casino uses. You can only get that award once in a gaming day. However, if you are still there for the second gaming day on triple status point days, you can get a second one. When it is a normal day, it is about 18,000 in coin in to get one 100 buck award. Everyone’s number of status points you need to hit is different too. They are sneaky too. When they see and they will that I got 2 awards last week, they will no doubt jack up my required status points which means even more coin in. When they do that, I punish them by playing on the small side until they lower my number agsin.

I guess that's what really irritates me. There's no way in this world it's really free, and yet most of us buy into their BS.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2023 8:21 amJust using that term because that is what the casino uses.
