After just watching, and enjoying, for about the 10,000th time, I just can't imagine Frank Sinatra, Orson Welles, Ernest Borgnine, Burt Lancaster, Laurence Olivier, Anthony Quinn, Edward G. Robinson, Paul Scofield, George C. Scott, or Danny Thomas, portraying Don Vito Corleone any better than Marlon Brando. They were all considered for the role.
