I would have if it were a true “ short coin “. In this case It jest happened to be at the beginning of a Martingale Clone cycle. Unfortunately, at that time the machine was ready to go into a dud cycle, quite the opposite of near the end of the day when I started playing with the Mrs card In any Deuces Wild game, if you go into a cycle where no Deuces are dealt or at most one, you are pretty much finished 90 percent of the time. You really need those Deuces on the deal in hopes of a great draw. Normally, I wouldn’t go back up there on a Saturday, but later, I have to enter a drawing for people with recent jackpots and there is also a decent giveaway that my daughter would like. I went back and found the post where you mentioned the reconfig of the 1.2% house edge dollar Deuces Bonus. The date was Dec 14 in the 2023 thread. So now that you have your dream machine, I might have expected you to ... play it. But no, instead you play the 3.2% HE Deuces Triple Spin, and the 2.6% HE quarter Deuces Bonus Spin:

Statistically you got hosed on the hit. IIRC, top middle and bottom middle are the only positions that can yield 2 royals drawing 1 card. Any other reel always yields 3. The dead center position would have paid $5000.

For that to happen, you probably would have needed your wife's card in the machine.

The return over time for the same amount bet is the same on spin poker as a single line game assuming the paytables are the same. My machine had nailed me for 1500 bucks and I was over my limit. That’s why I went to the quarter game. Same bet pattern with the clone. I would have busted on the dollar machine given the same pattern the quarter one had last night. Not that it matters because in the short run anything can happen, but no nickel or dime games played yesterday. The name of my game is to manage money without busting and hope for the best. Since I subscribe to the theory that a long run can be longer than one’s lifetime, at any given moment I don’t worry all that much about a bad pay table. Of course I prefer a good one. The Marathon was not planned, but after I got slammed on my favorite machine I went into survival mode and hoping for either Dealt quad Deuces or a Royal. I actually started both machines at 3 lines betting one a line. Ten times is still too steep of a bet increase. Meaning a net loss of ten times of your current bet level. You can see where it took me. Even on quarters I was up to betting over 10 bucks a deal. My dollar machine would have called for 45 bucks a deal. I would have been out like a light.

I find your obsession with my posts interesting to say the least! I am sure that I am not the only one that feels that way. That said, I may still from time to time respond with an intelligent answer. This is a Recreation Forum. If I thought I could make a living playing VP or even approximate a decent part time job take home pay, I would post somewhere else. I am much more concerned with what is happening in world events and actually to our Country as a whole right now.
