Congratulations. Expensive wagers, but winning is the best deodorant.

Hypothetical question for you.

Imagine one of the regulars here posts that he's going broke because of his gambling addiction. He may lose his house because he can't pay the property taxes. He plans to recoup his losses by raising the stakes on his gambling.

How would you respond to that? Would you cheer him on, or would you try to alert him to reality?

I find your obsession with my posts interesting to say the least!
I really don't see Dinghy's comments as indicating an obsession. I see them as attempting to offer constructive criticism in a non adversarial manner.

I disagree, but it really doesn’t matter. As to the question, I try not to butt into people’s lives. I might casually say as I have said for years that even with the low house hold in VP, the only winners over time are the casino. Exception being those that hit a huge progressive Jackpot. One may be a winner on paper if you value all of the free stuff at retail, but you can’t take that to the bank. Maybe some players disagree, but I have never met anyone who plays regularly and is a winner over time. There could also be a small chance that every time someone gets ahead at all in a session they immediately quit. I don’t know anyone that does that either. I have always said that VP is like a sine curve, just that it is tilted down a bit.

New tactic to attempt getting late in the game bets down a bit. Game will still be Bonus Deuces Wild. Quarters or dollars. 3 lines on Spin Poker. On a 800 for bet one Royal machine. Start by putting in 4 20s. No math calculations back and forth needed. If something good hits, cash out. The plan is to hit 5 Aces, Deuces, or a Royal before the 80 bucks vanishes. If it vanishes, put in 160 bucks and bet the same 3 lines, but bet 2 per line. If that vanishes, consult with the Mrs, or take a break. The next level would be to put in 240 bucks and bet 3 per line on the same 3 lines. Of course cash out on any good hits and quit or retreat to a lower bet level. This should slow the drain and hope for the gain. Shutoff valve to be determined, but most sensible would be if the entire 480 bucks vanishes. There is always another day to play. Tues Eve is on tap so far with the Mrs. She is actually starting to play this game as well when the nickel Ultimate X isn’t cooperating.

Thank you! You're my role model on this site because you've deftly navigated the choppy waters for many years.

You sure are grouchy for someone with more jackpots than me this year.

I'll excuse myself permanently from this thread. No promises for next year's thread. Have you decided what to call it yet?

No need to go unless you want to anyway. Assuming I will still be able to come and go, it will be just one digit different. Just as an aside, I watched a video of someone’s review of MGM Springfield. He complemented the room, but couldn’t believe a couple of things. One was charging 50 bucks for checking in even one hour early. Another was the poor quality of some of the restaurants, and another was the extreme security and ID checking every time someone entered the gaming floor even if they only left and went back in a few minutes. They didn’t comment at all on VP, but in my one and only trip there several years ago, the pay tables were terrible so I never went back. The immediate surrounding area is a high crime area as well. It would add 30 minutes to my trip. Foxwoods would add 20. There are too many things to list why I prefer Mohegan Sun over Foxwoods, but one of the main things is the lack of any 99 percent quarter machines. It’s getting late, but since I am a night owl anyway, I am going to practice tomorrow’s plan on this site. Maybe it is because I am not a Gold member, but when I practice here, the games reset every few minutes. That doesn’t cut it with Martingale Clone practice so that is why I rarely practice here. Also it is very tricky to get the sound with the games. Sometimes you can and sometimes you can’t. Luckily, the Bonus Deuces Wild paytable here is identical to Bizarro except there is no 800 for bet one. At least it is set for 13 on the straight flush which matches the dollar paytable at Mohegan as long as Spin poker is being played. Finally, I noticed that Mohegan has gone with a different security company recently and maybe tripled its Security force throughout the casino. Could be some behind the scene things going on. Don’t know.

No excuse not to walk the beach on a beautiful day like today before Bizarro tonight with the Mrs. 41 degrees, but bright and sunny! If you zoom the one pic, you can see Long Island in the distance. About 24 miles across from here to Long Island.
