Playing with that auto hold and speed advantage just got me to my first RF, a few Deuce Quads, and my bankroll goes up more than it goes down. All I do, besides hitting a button, is quickly verify the held card before I click on. Otherwise I take a quick second to change the held cards before clicking on.
Is this a lazy man’s way to play? I mean, if you’re into fairness would this be taking advantage of the system vs good video poker playing? The upside, I’m making money and enjoying it so much more than my original take on the game.
Surely it’s bias or superstition, but I’ve noticed playing faster vs slower increases the longevity of both game and bankroll. I’ve read many mixed reviews on what VP players think on speed, and it only seems to come up on tournament talk.
Does anyone play fast and notice any similar effects on the longevity aspect?
The downside is some games don’t allow for such fast play based on their programming, current physical condition, inability to alter the dealing pace, and sometimes extra screen annoyances you have to pause for.
I’m not a professional, and haven’t been playing long with the intent of becoming professional, but given the amount of hands one must play before the fruits of the game are ripe and ready to reveal themselves leave a lot of time for autodidactic discoveries not yet read or learned about.
It’s thrilling and there’s money to be made.
