I've played this a few sessions now and lost BIG every time. I'm not sure how to justify the steep buyin(10 coins per line) when there are no multipliers. Most hands i can't even break even, so unless something big is dealt....i'm not seeing it. yes, i know maybe i've just had a run of bad luck/bad cards, but i'm not sure the math works here....or, i'm missing some strategy.....

I'm sure if you're playing regular strategy with your holdings, you're giving up huge EV. I think the wilds really change the EVs, and trying to know the proper holdings for 0, 1, 2 or 3 wilds would be next to impossible.

As I understand, you would rotate among 4 different strategies (including standard for 0 wilds), but I don't know how to generate the strategies using publicly available tools.

Overall EV can't be calculated because the weightings aren't disclosed. It's obvious that the 1-wild feature occurs drastically more often than the 3-wild.

Yes, I agree. We'll have to see if WoO covers this one, I know he has contacts that may give him the weightings. Regardless, the volume of memorization of strategies makes this game a "no" for me.

If this game makes it into casinos, it will take a sharp game designer to put the correct "how to play" instructions in the limited amount of space available. It was not clear to me, with many years of VP experience, that the wild cards are in the full deck when awarded. I was looking everywhere for them until I read Webman's clarification post. In my opinion, the game is too complicated. There are a declining number of VP players already. Unless you are a highly experienced AP, games need to be simple enough for anyone to understand.
