Not sure, but I will share the name when we figure out what it is.
. I’m down 4k just on Disney. Shoulda bailed when they started changing the Disney as we knew it. Especially, when the word Princess disappeared among others. I will bite my tongue for now on the rest. Not worried about the rest of the holdings.

Sounding today like you dodged the bullet.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 8:59 pmMy percentage of stock holdings is so low now, today didn’t matter much one way or the other. Glad some of the gang is still marching forward.
Great prescience or lucky guess?

I knew the big 7 buyers were moving over to the Russell 2,000 and other places, but when I saw the Russell start to slide ( after I had already bought it a week or so before ) I knew something was up. Also for some reason they never let the late comer retail traders make tons of money soooooo. Here we are. I’m watching a few things. Apple hasn’t suffered much yet even though Buffet sold half of Berkshires Apple stock. Tesla could be a wacky trade play in either direction. Nvidia, may still weather much of the storm and go higher even though it has been beaten up. Actually Stocks with Josh thinks it will and he I think is buying more in the range it is in now just over 100 a bit. A family member just bought AMD at the top and got smoked. I said do what you want, but I wouldn’t touch it at those kevels. I watched Josh’s show last night and he thinks if AMD can’t hold 130, it could sink much lower. It also could get dragged higher by its coattails if Nvidia earnings come in strong and it pops up shortly. Like a different version of video poker anything is possible. Even Warren Buffett says the stock market is just like gambling. All bets are off if we get into a major war in the Middle East. This might only be for the high tax bracket investors, but Fidelities FHIGX is coming back after getting beaten up late in 2021 when when interest rates started their climb. If interest rates really are going to head lower, it’s just under 3 percent Federal tax free dividend isn’t a bad parking place assuming it can keep heading back to 13.50 or so. Just like VP, all this stuff is just my opinion. My Crystal Ball still doesn’t cooperate much.
I really do have one. I think I posted a pic of it once on the forum. It’s pretty in the sunlight though.

I think I will join Josh and jump into Nvidia. It is getting back down to reasonable valuation. Really would like to see the sell off continue as I am sitting with lots of cash in my account. Sure I got some losers but no worries as they aren't going anywhere. I have a big dividend bitcoin stock that I will be adding to very soon as bitcoin should soon bottom. It goes in whatever direction bitcoin goes only the increases are slower due to the dividend. Love bitcoin (and ethereum) future. Beyond that VOO (only I get the Canadian version VFV) is where I also want to increase my holdings. I still believe the SPY has more downside yet.
I did buy quite a few reits the past few months to get ready for interest cuts. Those stocks have been my winners the last while.
Will Monday continue the sell off? Or do we head up? We will see. Canadian markets are closed Monday.

I’ve been reading up on Bitcoin and listening to Josh of course, but haven’t jumped in yet. Don’t want to miss the boat. Our yields will be falling soon on cash on hand. Depending on Monday if NVIDIA is 100-105 or so, I’m going to nibble. By the way, Trump loves Bitcoin.

Cat got your bucks? Everyone join me on the NVIDIA bandwagon. I’m looking to spread the wealth, spread the word. And get that share price off the ventilator.

I will join you FAA. I missed Nvidia first time around so I hope the party starts up again.
tech58. We have all been there and bought at the wrong time. CAT buys back shares and I love that. It is one of the first things I look at when buying. I hate companies that dilute shareholder value by issuing more shares.

Ditto some of my mortgage Reits just bought back shares
. The ones I have left. I bailed on some to lock in gains. I will be watching NVIDIA myself. Futures are down more than 300 points. I’m waiting for a sale too. Just not sure of the timing. What I should do is nibble in pieces. Especially since I have no fees with Fidelity. I think CAT reports 8/6. Watching that one too. Tech, you should be fine in the long run. We’re still in that Distribution phase with wild swings. Now only if my crystal ball would work for just 5 minutes.
