Never will happen again!!

5 Vegas casinos
grammybaby - 09/24/2024
Game Details: Super double double 25cent
Won/Lost: $7900.00
Notes: This is from a 3 day trip to Vegas 8 years ago.

Day one.. Paris casino RF $ 1000 one hour after we got to casino. Harrahs $1300 progressive RF

Day2caesars.. $1000 4 aces w kicker in Triple Double. Then 1400 on progressive with RF on double double $500 x 2 at Caesar’s

Day3 Rio hit $1000 on RF , kept playing same machine and was dealt another RF $1000 4 hands later

Of course there were multiple wins of $200 and less I didn’t keep track of. When I hit the 2nd RF at Rio a security guard who was standing near me ran over and said he’d worked there for 14 years and never seen that happen, Moral of the story is if you hit the jackpot go ahead and play another $20 bucks or so in that machine, never know.

Considering it happened 8 years ago, would it still be correct to play $20 bucks, or do we need to adjust for inflation?

Yes, that seems consistent with both recent and older anecdotes. Hopefully I get the chance to implement this strategy.

I had back to back royals in Biloxi many years ago. Back then the attendant had to clear the machine after releasing the RF lock-up. I got paid for the first royal and she cleared the machine. I had to play a hand while she watched to verify that the machine was working properly. It came up 3 to the Royal. We both laughed and said wow, wouldn't it be crazy if I hit again. I drew 2 more royal cards for back to back royals. What better witness than an attendant standing right there watching?
Note to above: I took the cash from both royals and bought a really nice new John Deere lawn tractor, very sweet. I still have it after all of these years, runs great, and it always reminds me of the back to back royals.

👍 Just changing the oil and she should be good for almost a lifetime. Of course little things will break here and there, but the engine should just run and run. I am still mowing my small lawn with my 1962 Briggs and Stratton 3 hp push mower. 40 years ago, a neighbor discarded it because it needed new points, and he ran it low on oil seizing the motor. Make a long story short, I let it soak with PB blaster or WD 40 in the cylinder a few years and got it going after the engine freed up and I filed and gapped the points etc. Added a new blade and she was and is good to go!! Back to VP. Somehow, things seem way different now. As to winning anyway. I can’t explain it, but I am experiencing it. Hmmmmmm.

Olds, I agree with you not just for lawn equipment but also for motor vehicles. Too many people out there ruining expensive vehicles with tired old oil. I can get 300,000 miles or more on a vehicle, and I never miss an oil change, Also, I check the oil level every third gas fill-up. The guy who saves bucks on oil changes spends 100X on shorter lifespan of the vehicle.
Olds, one point on the John Deere is that parts and accessories are much higher than for some other brands. I know they are quality American made parts, but sometimes I grit my teeth at the prices. But I want to keep that thing for life, so....... (I have a relative who dairy farms and he says the same thing is true for full size JD farm equipment --- expensive maint.)

Agree. And my brother finally gave up on his John Deere lawn tractor when the frame cracked in several places. Before then, it was nickel and dime ing him, but it wasn’t Just nickels and dimes. The motor itself never died. Probably posted this before, when my 1998 Saturn finally got too expensive to keep repairing at 369,000 miles on the original clutch, trans, and engine, I almost cried when the still looking new Saturn was driven on its own power up onto the flatbed headed to the yard. By the way Nice trip Grammababy! 👍
