You don't see these every day. A Lady Amherst Pheasant. These are native to China. This picture was a few hours ago but is still roaming around my friends back yard. I'm thinking it's someone's pet, was in a pet store and got out or somehow flew here from the Detroit Zoo.

Thanks. The last time he saw it was around sunset behind his garage. We do have your average pheasants in fields and wooded rural areas to the north, but nothing like this bird. As I mentioned, these are native to China.
