I find it difficult to get 1.5 percent slot club awards around here.

Yes, that would be miraculous. VP barely moves the needle in AC.

Oh, the stories I could tell.
One obvious example without divulging anything sensitive is Four Queens in Vegas. They run periodic monthly promos awarding bonus slot play. Two summers ago, each month you could earn 2000 pts for $200 extra. That's 1.25% plus the 0.3% base, plus another 1% or so in comp dollars, plus mail.
Last summer, they dialed the monthly max down to $140 (for 1200 pts). In earlier years, you could repeat the promo on the somewhat inferior games at Binion's.
Most casinos are not intentionally going to give you 1.5%, but there are many ways they can miscalculate or misconfigure.

They used to screw up all the time in Ct with various promos. That was well over 10 years ago. They changed a lot of management and brought in more tech people and math people. Haven’t caught them in any player advantage screw ups in years. One of my favorites was the fake horse and auto races they had every hour or so at your machine. The prize for picking the winner was some free play sometimes based on some sort of pool. Forget the details on that. Anyway, say there were 6 horses. If one had 6 friends or 6 different cards. ( a no no ) you could put one in each machine and get a guaranteed winner between the crew or the other ( no no ) way. This would go on for like 8 hours straight!! Ancient history now.

Yes, promos are somewhat often vulnerable to multi-carding. That's not my specialty, but it can be a path to significant edges without much skill required.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 8:13 pmIf one had 6 friends or 6 different cards. Probably the best promo screw up I know of was involving Harrahs Joliet about 15 years ago. John Grochowski wrote about it in his column. It seems that over 12,000 mailers good for $525.00 IN CASH were sent out and it was only supposed to go out to 1,200. Harrahs tried to void them but the state gaming board held them to it. I got my mailer and promptly cashed it in, immediately walked out.

Every machine should list hold percentage by law. Of course they won't but they should
