I would wager that Monty’s paw was plenty active on the Double Up pop up. Even at 20, I would pass on jumping into that narrow an opening.
Were you on the same machine the whole time? One notable hit per hour is right on schedule for me to break even, with plenty of upside on a weighty clone bet. Major kudos on avoiding taxes also.

Unfortunately, all Gross gambling winnings are taxable. Don't I know that living in my crooked State. ( Lamont ). Every W-2G is a victory dance. He must have wore out A pair of moccasins by now! How would you like to sell a stock or fund and the entire gross proceeds be taxable and no ability to offset your cost basis. That is what it is like in Ct when it comes to gambling.
Anyway, part of my play was on the lone 800 for bet one dollar machine. The rest was on the lone quarter 800 for bet one quarter machine with a poorer paytable. On the. Bonus Deuces Wild game, the quarter game only pays 10 for one on the straight flush and on the dollar game it is 13 for one. In Deuces Wild, straight flushes are way more common than Job.
I am seeing a pattern I don’t like at all. and don’t want to read too much into it yet. This started since Bizarro started using AI for various things some months ago. From September through the end of the year, I was absolutely killed with VP losses.
Now the pattern…….I have noticed when I need 2 cards to complete a good hand, like in a straight flush for instance on the Bonus Deuces Wild game, you almost never never get the 2 cards you need. As a result, ( knowing this is potential gambling suicide as to loss percentage ) , I have stopped keeping say a Deuce and a 9 ten of spades, or even a deuce and a Ace King of Hearts. Just as two examples. As a result, I have been able to stay ahead of the casino for 2025 so far!!!! If that continues for the entire year, I will have to talk further on this issue. I am giving up a big amount of EV by doing so. Is it short term luck? Maybe. Time will tell. The Mrs has a few anti EV tricks herself on Ultimate X DDB and so so far for 2025, is ahead of them as well.
One last comment. Since my mini recent winning streak, my comp room offers have all but dried up even with sometimes 25K of coin in per session. Hmmmmmm!! Marathon sessions seem to be a mandate as well to stay in the upside for a few minutes as well. It always seems ( and this may be normal in RNGs ) that whenever one gets even a bit ahead on a negative EV game, in very short order, your game will head straight down and not turn around again at all.

Well, as I don’t play DW any potential inferences would be irrelevant for me. Any wild game has to generate more SFs to begin with simply due to the wild designation of specific cards. Having said that, they’re pretty rare on JOB. I’ve stopped playing it long ago as it’s so boring. Plus at Harrah’s HL, JOB is 8/5 dollar. Yes, you need heavy coin in for a prayer of finishing in the black. I feel that I require 3 hours just to run in place like a caged hamster. RF absence has also stopped me from planning a MS trip. I want to have the satisfaction of conquering AC for the year.

Even 99.54 JOB can have devastating session returns on days when quads are weak or absent and full houses almost nonexistent. As much as the Clone works well with it most times, days like what I just wrote about kill the Clone and virtually any other method of playing JOB. I haven’t kept track for 2025 if it is worth it to bankroll bust once in a while on JOB because adding up the positive sessions will offset it. If I had 8/5 BP at Bizarro, I would play it. It was pulled at least 15 years ago. I refuse to play the inferior 7/5 version. Our other version of BP pays 30 for one for quads. Also inferior. The 30/8/5 version at about 98.5 is actually better than 7/5 at about 98.0, but I won’t play it on principal since they pulled the 8/5 version at about 99.13.
I have found a bank of 3 or 4 machines I think Bizarro pulled back from storage. They have 6/5 BP ( I know horrible ) , but I am wondering if the Clone could beat it on a Marathon session. Here’s why…….. These machines have believe it or not the following pay tables……2 cent, 5 cent, 10,20, and 25 cent each offering and allowing up to 25 units bet on a single line game. Might try it with some free play.

At those puny denominations, I guess it’s worth experimenting. I can have 8/5 BP at select Resorts machines. The problem is it’s dishwasher dull Resorts. I want more sizzle and buzz in my casino. If I played overnight, that issue is rendered moot. So I should aim at one of their inconvenient Sun-Th comp days.

Once in a while - possibly. Consistently - highly unlikely.

Probably correct OMT. But years ago when they had 2 cent One eyed Jacks with a 95 percent table, I could beat it up with the Clone because they allowed bets of up to 100 units. This situation is similar. Lose a long time at the lower level and win a few good hands at the higher level. I won’t know till I try it a bunch of times for sure. The only thing I will say is if it didn’t work back then, why pull out of service an entire bank of 95 percent machines never to be seen anywhere again in the casino. I think they rely on the fact that most people don’t have the time or bankroll to wait out scenarios like this.
