So, I was missing something. Because I didn't look closely at the picture, I incorrectly assumed the game was triple double when it was, in fact, triple triple.

The attendant brought me 2 players cards (I was playing without) - which I promptly threw in the trash.

I gotta ask because I can't even imagine -- what is the point of playing uncarded?

Just this week a stupid vaper plopped down next to me, and her players card glitched but she didn't notice.



I of course said nothing. Maybe I unintentionally helped her. A scary thought.

It sure doesn't make much sense to me, either. Over the many, many years my wife and I have been playing video poker, we have received thousands upon thousands of dollars in cash back, bounce back cash, "free" slot play, meals, accommodations, air fares, etc., etc.

I was also thinking of the win-loss statement. It was a losing session, and yet the player is on the hook for taxable income. Had the session been carded, the win-loss statement would have provided evidence to potentially support deduction of losses. (Yes, I know the IRS officially downplays the credibility of win-loss statements, but they're better than nothing imo.)
