If I don’t recover in the second half, this will be my worst year ever. I’d try TT’s system, but I cannot lose $2,500 in Harrah’s HL room before a hand pay bailout. I’m not even going to play unless I can observe a couple of big winners.

Out of curiosity, what would this have to do with YOUR video poker play?

Pure superstition. Last trip rattled me into paralyzing fear. It’s a small comfort to see that they are showing someone the money.

Ahh, superstition. I see.

Devil’s on his way. AC has 8, one per casino.
I think the key to a happy trip is 60 minutes VP tops. You either hit and run or suffer a minimal manageable loss. The multi hour sessions have been utterly ruinous for me. I could expect to get out of town with a -$200 and not have the regret hang over me for days.

My Marathon sessions have not been rewarding for months and months as posted above overall. We have a long time server who is also a regular player at the other Ct casino. True not he says with AI, they. Know you better than you do. He used to play them about even. No more. Nearly 10 percent coin in loss now this year on VP since early Spring. That matches with the State of Ct public record info where vp is lumped in with slots. Unfortunately, no way to separate out the casino hold percentage from the Ct casinos on VP. 😬. I only need 19 more status points to maintain status through the end of March next year. My last session was Thursday eve and Friday day. Triple status points, but very expensive as well. Will probably get the 19 next session. After that, it will be time to just relax and take advantage of the comps and promotions till they dry up. Forgot to mention the Tuesday session was a big loser too. Luckily, the Mrs won about 1/4 of what I lost. I only played 99.54 and 98.91 games too all this week. I know this is wordy, but one more strange thing. The Mrs percentage loss, actually a small gain puts my record to shame this year. She plays only nickel DDB Ultimate X, ignores some of the math strategy, and it’s a 97 pay table as well.
After my bust on Friday morning, as a goof, I played a 7/5 job machine ( using the clone ) 800 for bet one for 2 hours with a single 20 on nickels. No Royal, no quads. After 2 hours, I was ahead 35 cents. Go figure. I was upping my bets by a nickel after just 4 losing hands ignoring pushes. I did back down on wins.

I had close to a 10% coin in loss too. The only way to survive is to choke off the exposed BR. One hour monthly session. Use my timer function. When it’s up, I’m up. I’d rather be angry about a wasted trip with a nominal loss than a wipeout trip that puts me in a catatonic state. I’ve reached my breaking point.

Olds, wish you had better successful trips this year. A hiatus, as you are contemplating, may be what is best.
