Karma is real

So while visiting Vegas for my birthday, we were getting ready to head home on Sunday morning. My wife said let’s go down and play some before we drive home. This trip was not so great for wins.

I sat down at the only Hot Roll Poker machine at the Virgin hotel. Lost more than I won over the weekend. When I sat down I noticed there was $5.00 in credits still in the machine. I cashed out the ticket and gave it to a security guard. He told me I cool play it but I told him that karma would get me if I did that. He laughed and said he agreed.

About 5 minutes later I’m playing 3 Hand on $0.25 denomination, Triple Double. I get the dice for a 5X and am dealt one Ace. I hold the Ace, hit draw, don’t even watch, and the very first hand comes out A-A-4-A for $5,000. I couldn’t even find the words to tell my wife who was at an All Star game. The guard from before walked by and just laughed. He said now I see why you didn’t play that $5.

We did the smart thing. I took my band of 50 $100 bills and we headed home.

Integrity = “doing the right thing when no one is looking.” You did it for the right reason, as many of us have, and didn’t ask for anything, I’m still glad you got rewarded…
