Buying BGS. I got filled at 3.82, and then a minute later, another fill at 3.735  .

Earnings missed expectations. The bonds are still trading near 90.

Unpopular opinion: BGS should cut the dividend.

I'm surprised honestly at how sharply I've reduced my precious metal miners. I'm now just above 15% which is big but down a lot from January.

If the PM miners were to extend their current dip, I would not necessarily be disappointed.
narrator: They DID NOT extend the dip.

BGS already confirmed their next dividend. I agree the percentage is too high considering the situation the company is in. There could be a method to their madness maybe the employees and insiders have a ton of the stock and like getting the dividends. I must admit I like getting them also but if the stock sinks below $3.50 or so they are going to have to do something. Royal Gold had a good day. They cut a billion dollar streaming deal. Too busy to read all the details for now.

RGLD has been laggy since the Sandstorm acquisition was announced nearly a month ago.

I'm now green on every share purchased, but most of my miners have been peppier and/or perkier.

LYB traded down to 49.66 and I missed it  .

Late to the party, I'm setting my buy order at 49.94.

Fail. I could have just waited.

Here are my chemical stocks against the S&P 500, dividends included:

Three months ago as discussed here, HL Hecla Mining was wrecked for -17% on Q1 earnings -- partly because some of the silver production carried over into Q2 before sale.

I was able to bulk up at prices near 4.50.

Q2 earnings reported today were predictably strong, and now HL is trading up to 6.55 from today's 6.11 closing level.

Good job! I bought HL early May and sold in early June. Just about the quickest 40 percent I ever made. Percentage wise nothing special for 2025 but at least I did hit a new year to date high today.
