Wendy’s sales have been sinking right along. Major hit in the breakfast area. They seem to have a big turn over with poorly trained employees. Always very nice to me though. Mcd has cut back on promotions too. They are doing much better. They just seem to be run better than Wendy’s. One exception. The Wendy’s in Guilford Ct I give a 10 out of 10. It’s on my way to and from Bizarro. Neat and clean as a pin. Extremely nice managers and employees. And this one still has the “ wheel of misfortune “. The reason I call it that is because I tend to frequent it more on losing days at Bizarro. That means quite often. . I have a feeling the manager senses that because when I present my survey for a free wheel spin, she just says just pick anything on the wheel you would like. Senior drinks are always free too. On good trips on the way home, ( they never know that ) I stop and sometimes tip every employee on the clock when I get there. Not bragging. I just like to do it.
FAA loves a meal deal. I returned to Resorts famished and ready to return to the old standby, Doughtery’s happy hour. But a sign at the 5 O’Clock Somewhere bar beckoned me just across the Boardwalk to Landshark Bar and Grill, where I happily indulged. Among the beers on tap is Voodoo Ranger, as I came to discover a 9.1% IPA. Dare I say, it was a hit. I loved the potato chips. There was still skin on one. A pickle spear, lacking snap, is obscured. The burger, a tasty double smash, quelled my hunger. I asked for onions after I overheard another more detail oriented waitress mentioning it to her table. Mine was the nose ring space cadet type. She brought back a ramekin of chopped onions. Well, don’t cry over chopped onions. I waddled off quite content after the day’s winnings.
