A Slingshot in the Tangers Outlet parking lot gives Batman vibes.

It is quite fitting that Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson is on the AC Nike Factory Store billboard.

I hitched a free train shuttle and walked over to Tanger Outlet. There I stumbled upon a Spin the Wheel contest in the plaza to drum up customer good will, like Olds’ Wendy’s. I spun three times before being barred as a recidivist. Still could not win the coveted water bottle, canvas tote or even shoddy sunglasses. First the beach ball, then a rubber duck. Then a Mystery Prize, a half decent Ethik (a new Michigan Avenue store) cap. I must say the cap was ironic. The irony was not lost on FAA.

Thank your lucky stars that the rubber duck was of better quality than the shoddy sunglasses...

The Ethik cap price tag is $38. So that was a cap pay! Ethik is for the up and coming Tony Hawks. This store has the only indoor mini ramp in NJ. The kids can shred to their heart’s content.

On the way back from a losing short run trip from Bizarro this afternoon, the traffic on 95 was so bad I had to detour off to Rt1 and I stopped by my favorite spin the wheel at Wendy’s. The place was packed probably because of the mess on 95. When I got to the counter with my survey in hand from my last trip, the employee recognized me and just said “ What would you like from the wheel? “. Of course I opted for a Dave’s single less the Mayo!! Senior drinks are always free, but feeling guilty over their generosity, I ordered a cup of 🌶️ to go. They even made the single fresh for me! The manager spotted me too and came out to personally thank me for tipping her people. As usual, even though they were jammed, they somehow kept the premises spotless in and out. It’s a kind of Ritzy shoreline town and besides the wayward travelers, the usual locals were there too no doubt sharing their latest sailing adventures!! Who knows? We both might have been spinning the wheel at the same time. By the way, did you have to spin in disguise on your second and third try??

You got some Wendy’s hustle going. It’s your fiefdom at this point. I am tall and have prominent features. So it would have been a fool’s errand. I was hiding in plain sight. I would have stopped after one if I won a practical gift. They’re cute. I’ll keep them around. Ball and duck, I can both chuck. But with the cap, I bridged the gap. I can stroll into their skateboarding flagship store with serious street cred. I can even tell them I’m an OG from Tony’s days.

Give the ball and duck to a needy looking young family while strolling the boardwalk. I’m sure they would appreciate it. My Mrs says the rubber duck is very cute. He wouldn’t fare too well though in the shower!

Have you tried to blow up a beach ball lately? I use one in the back of the truck to keep rain water from collecting in the back when I use the cover. I had to get a cheap air compressor. Even the bicycle pump took forever, lol.

I carry one of those in all of my cars. Has saved a couple of tow jobs when you get a nail or screw in a tire. Still only about 10 bucks.
