Resorts has it on half the HL room. Harrah’s can afford to pull it. Sucker clientele is stuck at the Marina. Neighboring Borgata and Golden Nugget probably dumped theirs long ago.

You would think that after all this time, you would learn to stick to a denomination at which you can play max coin in. This would quite possibly eliminate the short coin quads.

You are so laser focused on getting that 4 figure hand-pay that you are losing out on some decent quad hits. The outlying problem here though is that you regularly play games where the royal is the only prize.

That’s one of the biggest problems with JOB too.

I like the cat and mouse game of trying to maximize the trip win. I often get burned like yesterday. Twice in a trip was especially unlucky. I dumped JOB because it was a job and the pay tables somehow shrank to 8/5. BP is in my personal risk wheelhouse.

So, is playing $5.00 denomination and betting 2 coins, part of your cat and mouse game to maximize trip wins?

I was upset about losses and was chasing at ten a pop, a bad habit to develop. I could have stayed at the dollar machines and bumped it to two, but those machines were ice cold. Glad it worked out there.

Sad Saturday. I won $145 on my $30 Resorts $5 BP FP. The medium FH led haul went straight to dollar BP. I soon hit a dealt max vanilla quad for a $240 TITO. Train jitney. Jitney to Harrah’s. I lost $480 in two hours there. Jackpots hit around me, doubtless on high variance games. CET shuttle to Caesars, painful walk to Resorts. Net Day: -$300. 314 TCs.

Wow bummer! I have bowed out till the med stuff is finished, but I’m sure my fairly recent batting average is no better than that of a MLB pitcher hitting about .167. Short term Market trades have been much more successful using the same bankroll from an average Bizarro trip. Try it sometime. No fee trades, gas, or other expenses. Think like Warren Buffett or Dinghy. Buy when something “ is on sale “ or oversold. Hope for a quick 10 percent or so and run. You ultimately can’t lose all of your bankroll either because Uncle Sam will pay for a good chunk of your mistakes if any based on your tax bracket. In my case the greedy State of Ct gives me back another 7 percent on top of the Fed ( about 22 percent ). For all of my mistakes. Limits apply, but you can carry over to future years forever if you need to. Check out some of the posts in the Stock Market thread. On top of that, you decide when your session is over ( when you sell ). Not when it’s time to go home at the end of a losing VP day. PS…..Still love VP, but this takes the losing edge off a bit. Finally, goes without saying, don’t play either with money you can’t afford to lose! Rule numero uno!

Sorry, forgot to mention Wildman, or whomever else my failing memory should remember from that thread.
