Re: Off to Nevada
After several months of minimal casino video poker play, we are gearing up for another of our "traditional" fall Nevada casino trips.
We are flying from Buffalo to Reno (via Phoenix) this coming Saturday to start a 17 night video poker Nevada sojourn. After arriving in Reno, we will be shuttled to Stateline (Lake Tahoe) for a four night stay at Caesars Republic (formerly Harveys). This part of our trip (and the air fares) will be our Seven Stars retreat this year.
We will continue our trip by shuttling back to Reno for a four night stay at the Silver Legacy. Based on everything I've read about the trashing of the video poker offerings at the ROW, this will probably be our last visit there.
Then, we will be driving, with a Nevada based friend, to Las Vegas where we will spend a total of nine nights. There will be three at the Four Queens, followed by three at Rampart, and then another three back at Four Queens. We will then fly back to Buffalo for a night or so at Seneca Niagara before driving home.
I am not sure that planning such a long trip is a great idea. We'll just have to see how it works out.

I'll be in tomorrow for the signature event. They've done some downgrade damage, that's for sure.onemoretry wrote: ↑Wed Oct 08, 2025 10:28 amBased on everything I've read about the trashing of the video poker offerings at the ROW, this will probably be our last visit there.

Best of luck to you both, OMT, and your friend as well. I am hopeful that Las Vegas has not turned into the barren wasteland that has been recently portrayed.

I am there Oct 28 and it is probably when you are heading home. Hope the airports are open and not short staffed. Enjoy and have fun.

My agency will be on it. I do not anticipate any delays or turbulence for that matter.
