Re: Feasting with FAA
Update: Landshark combo is indeed still $14.99. Their poster is still affixed at the 5OS bar. Margaritaville patrons are advised to walk another 30 yards, get much better views and save two bucks in the bargain. FAA, VP News.

Restaurant prices continue to go through the roof. The latest trick and no treat is to charge extra and several dollars at that for different types of veggies or salads with your meal. It used to be just pick a side from the menu. Around here it all started many years ago when one place started charging 25 cents extra for Blue Cheese dressing. Now nearly everyone has hopped on the bandwagon. I know I am somewhat behind the times, but I won’t be spending 82 bucks for a bone in ribeye at Jordons anytime soon!

Yes, at Outback premium sides mean a premium upcharge. $82 Jordan ribeye is an airball for me as well unless I hit the RF that week.
It’s interesting how two restaurants under the same corporate umbrella and on the same property have different prices for the same promotional meal. They’re just confusing and possibly alienating their clientele.

Unless of course, other clientele are not as astute as you to know that both restaurants are owned by the same entity.
Pass the ketchup.

I’m making a mountain out a meatloaf. It’s food for thought, albeit scant thought.

Meatloaf! My Fav! With bacon and ketchup on top of course. By the way, I met “ Meatloaf “ once many years ago at Mohegan. Reminds me….late for some errands. Better go like “ Bat out of Hell “”

This is not in AC, but this solid national chain should be there. Outback Walkabout Wednesday was somewhat disappointing yesterday. They were out of my customary broccoli, so I settled for green beans. WW Beer Options: Bloomin Blonde, Bud Light, Fosters, Stella, Samuel Adams Remastered. I chose the latter. It was forgettable. Why remaster a great product, then saddle it with this pretentious name? Anyway, Fosters in the future. Plenty of great bread and butter. For $13.99, I cannot complain.

We went last week. 5 minute drive from home. We had the Aussie dinner. Cost a bit more but worth it. We split the loaded baked and broc which is awesome. She salad. Me soup
. Center cut sirloin was excellent brought half home. The Raspberry topped Cheesecake was about the best we’ve ever had. Great server too.

Yes, I’ve had Aussie Aussie Aussie also. Ironic that it’s also prominent there in Pizzaville. Upgraded from the $14.99 base for the sirloin. I also enjoyed that potato soup with the scallion garnish. Cheesecake was great; portion was cut too small. I think they are told to get an extra slice out of their cakes.

If I had to rate the meal, I would give the cheesecake a 10, Potato soup with garnish 9, Baked and Broc8, bread and salad 7, and steak 7. We order without the stuff on the meat. ( trying to keep sodium to a minimum ) and the spices can also over power the meat taste. Both were cooked perfectly, but I lost about 1/8 of my 6 oz to grizzle. I get it. It’s not Filet, I was still fine with it. We aren’t big eaters anymore. Age does that and each had the other 3 oz for dinner with our own veggies and taters the next day. Our cheesecake matched the pics on the menu.
