Chicken Ranch Casino - Jamestown, CA

Post by Julland »

The Chicken Ranch has been around for awhile, but they've recently expanded with a large new casino & hotel that is 100% smoke-free and chock full of shiny, sparkling new slot machines. Just last weekend, they installed a mechanical roulette table for gambling in the round. LOTS of fun in there, BUT I wish they had the All Star Video Games with the alternative video poker options. I love the games like Spin Poker and Ultimate X but can only find them by sitting at their bar. I wish they had those machines out in the general gambling areas!!

I really like the smoke-free environment at the Chicken Ranch Casino and I like to play the All Star bar tops at the (209) Sports Bar while I eat lunch. Last week I hit the Royal Flush on three lines while playing nickel Spin Poker and it paid over $600! The Black Oak Casino is about 30 minutes away and they have many more VP machines with better payout tables. I like to play the Ultimate X, Spin Poker and 9/5 JoB machines they have in the non-smoking section.

Unfortunately the Chicken Ranch no longer allows the free play you earn with their rewards program to be played in their video poker machines. :-(

Same short-sighted move at my home casino, and many others so i hear.
Many VP players that I know or see often have either left or cut back.
Machines definitely seeing less play at least on day's when I am there.
It is what it is, and not likely to change.
The value of comps has deteriorated to the point that holding top card is too expensive for me.
