Opinions?? I got good dividends from these 2 this year, but will be selling both PFLT AND SVOL for tax loss to offset other gains and therefore avoid Capital gains tax. Would you guys buy both of these back after the 30 day wash rule assuming they haven’t gone up much or at all? I’m leaning toward yes. Their div range from 13-20 percent.

Not as much fun as VP, but nothing like being able to write off most or all of your market trading gains with losses and collect dividends on top of it. Then buy back the good ones you disposed of after the 30 day wash rule. It’s almost like not having to pay taxes on your VP winnings. Doesn’t come with a free room, dinner, and a show though. 😂

I know things are high now. Any ideas for 2026? I’m doing a little profit taking for now and collecting dividends. Keeping my gold mines though.

My idea is with new Fed Zar that Trump will pick and start in May, I loaded up on short term Bonds. Think rates going much lower then most think. Been moving into oil stocks via XLE think the boom in tax refunds going to spark travel. This year has the biggest 65 year olds retiring should be travel spending summer, fall. Looking at XLU as well seems down a lot.

Thanks. I will check them both out. I usually like picks that pay at least 4 percent diva, but if I see some upside too……I’m waiting for a nice dip in AEM. No luck so far. Just waiting to pounce on a pullback. I agree on the interest rate scenario. Trump would like 1 percent CDs or Money markets if that. We are OK for now, but as things come due, we will have to find other options. I’m not keen on Utilities yet. I should add to SPHY. Over a 7 percent div yield. It’s right about where it was ten years ago. That’s fine. I’ll take the 7 percent.
