Quick note on gambling for 2026. Since the House Rules committee blocked the Fair Bet Act from moving forward, the only way I know to offset the Federal and State tax increases on gambling income for 2026 is to not play at all or reduce Gross Gambling income by betting less for 2026. We plan to do the latter. Ultimately, it will result in a reduction in comps, but so be it! 😠. We will make sure to take care of the various charities anyway, from the money we will save by gambling smaller. 😊
Olds - I made the decision about halfway through 2025, to NOT chase comps at CET properties in 2025. I had been Seven Stars for a few years and I realized that, for various reasons, I wasn't taking full advantage of the benefits offered at that level. I decided that I was comfortable at Diamond level, mid or upper level and that will also be my outlook moving forward in 2026. The casino closest to me, Wind Creek, is no longer on my visit list as I do not like the way I was recently treated relative to being 1 day late for reserving a spot at their NYE Celebration. I received the invitation in the mail the day AFTER reservations closed and I explained this to the Reservations Agent when I called to try and get in. The agent not so politely told me to blame the USPS and not Wind Creek. Wind Creek has also changed their free play system and free play can no longer be used on video poker machines. So, no more Wind Creek for me. My bottom line is that I am no longer being a slave to the casino comp system and I will only play on my terms.

Best of luck to you and your wife in 2026. Continued good health too.

Ted, my late wife and I stopped going to the local CET casino in AZ, AK-Chin, well over a decade ago because of the way we were treated. The final straw was when a staff member was rude and obnoxious to my wife.

Bill - it's odd how some people in a CUSTOMER service type position fail to get it. They say some wrong thing, or do some wrong thing, because they wrongly assume they have the power to do so.

Best of luck to you.

Those Wind Creek blowhard bumpkins have some nerve. What a slap in the face. CET shutting you out of free play VP is another show stopper. They can play that game, but we have power of the purse. And the outlook is grim. Fight the power!

Who did CET shut out of free play VP?

You know what else is a show stopper? When the film breaks or the curtain comes down. Or, that guy with that really big Shepard's hook pulls the performer off the stage. Show stoppers every one.

My good luck charm was within earshot!! Back to even for the year with this hit. It was a tough road 10 hour Marathon, but the Clone came through. Numerous other smaller hits like 5 Aces twice kept me in the game. The Mrs did well too. Maybe some of her pictures tomorrow. As you can see, I was in dangerous territory in my bet amount per hand. I was pretty far behind the 8 ball earlier in the evening. Bankroll had a 400 balance. 😬. Had the Ace appeared with the Deuces, the Jackpot would have doubled. This is a very tough game, but it is my favorite. Just under a 99 percent pay table.

Congratulations. Pretty rich bets, but just a footnote now.

Thank FAA. I was treading on thin ice that’s for sure. I almost had a premonition. The game had given me 28 straight dud hands. I have seen similar scenarios over the years meaning a jackpot appearing immediately following a horrible dry spell.
