Mohegan sun status points

Post by Guest759522 »

Anyone know what the coin-in is for 1 status points at Mohegan sun for video poker or slots?
I'm not not too worried about specific games, just want to get a general idea of how many points any game will generate.

sorry for the lack of details, I'm very new to this!

It is about 500 bucks give or take. It probably varies and does vary when they have things like Triple status point days which are a few times a month. It also varies based on your current status and other various things. My guess is slots are less than 500 bucks, but I’m not sure. The un Scientific way I determined this was to record my starting status points with my card in a dollar vp machine. I proceeded to play exactly one dollar at a time. Every 5 plays I would re check my status points. Sometimes you have to remove your card and reinsert it into the machine so it can update a few cents. When the machine finally advanced to the next point, I had either jotted down or remembered how much coin in I had played. Other players have commented their tests were in the same ballpark. The better pay table machines 98-99 percent will only give you status points and no points you can spend. Those are called Momentum Dollars. There is detailed info on their website on the benefits at various levels. Status points reset to 0 every 6 months. There are also various awards along the way like free slot play on your way to attaining your desired status. Here’s the bad news. If you would like to attain Ascend Status which has a nice combination of benefits, you will need to play about 700,000 bucks in coin in every 6 months. On a 98 percent machine with perfect play, in the long run it will cost you about 14,000 bucks every 6 months. Again that is with perfect play and staying away from machines with a worse pay table than 98 percent. There are still some 99.54 JOB quarter machines at Mohegan Sun and a few dollar Pickem games that are close to 100 percent with perfect play. Sorry, I don’t have details on the rewards of Slot play and earning Status Points on them. The average player return on slots is 91 percent. This is posted and is public information available on line from the State of Ct. In their reporting, vp stats are lumped in with slots to get that 91 percent number. 😬

If they lump in VP with that 91% number that puts slots at about 88%.
That is consistent with a study I saw in Casino Player Mag. years ago.
Bless their souls. If not for them our game would not be there either.
