Achieve Seven Stars

Post by TripleTriple »

I said in the Video poker forum I would post my suggestion to earn Caesars Seven Star status here in the Gold Member forum.

There's really no secret to getting the required 150k tier credits, but there are a few things that I've learned both by making the level and by missing out on it. Of course if you have the funds, you could ignore the points I mention and just play large and often and get there by default. I'm certain there are those who do just that. But for us mere mortals, some planning and preparation are in order.

A lot of people will ***** and moan about Caesars comps and how they've been getting worse and worse along with downgraded pay tables and lack of full pay machines. But the truth of the matter is that two of the biggest factors in achieving Seven Stars have remained essentially unchanged for a decade or more- the required number of tier credits (150,000) and the daily bonuses for earning certain number of tier credits in a single gaming day. The difference now compared to back in the day is that for the majority of players, it is much more difficult to earn those TCs in the first place, or at least to earn them without going bankrupt. A third and probably the greatest factor are the multiplier promotions offered. These are still being offered with about the same frequency, more or less, but whereas the 150k minimum and the daily bonuses are unchanged, the number of multiplier events, the multiplier factor and the amount of base credits eligible for multiplying are slowly being eroded. Also, some of the events are for short periods, sometimes only two or four hours.

Pay tables less than full pay, even going from say 9/6 Jacks to 9/5 or 8/6 will make a huge difference in preserving your bankroll to meet the daily bonus levels. Earning a 125 TC bonus for 500 base or 1000 bonus for 1000 base TCs will not get it done. The minimum to shoot for is 2500 base to get the 5000 daily bonus. Obviously, the best outcome is earning 5000 base to get a 10,000 bonus, but look at the ratio- it's the same 2:1. So if you are up against the end of the day(05:59) or can't obtain any more funds until the next day, you can still get the same result by splitting it into two smaller bonuses. When using this strategy, you would shut it down as soon as you reach the 2500 TC amount to preserve your remaining bankroll for the next morning. This becomes important for those traveling any long distance to minimize the number of trips needed.

Along with this, you need to know what your earning rate per hour will be given the game you play, the denomination, your ordinary speed in hands per hour and the machine tier credit rate. Playing deliberately at 500 hands per hour at quarter denomination on a single line 50:1 machine will earn you a whopping 12 1/2 TC each hour: (500 x 1.25)/50. Have fun putting in the hours to make Seven Star- you could play around the clock for an entire gaming day and not even earn enough TCs to get the lowly 125 TC daily bonus. So first and foremost be realistic about your ability to accumulate base credits. Ok, so lets say you are a step above and can play 700 hph on a 20:1 machine at fifty cents. For a single line 5 credit max i.e. no gimmick game you earn a much more respectable 87 1/2 base per hour. You could earn the next daily bonus of 1000 bonus for 1000 base, but it would take a marathon 11 hours. And you won't sniff the next plateau.

You could play 3, 5 or 10 play (or more) and reach levels 3,5 or 10 times faster but you will usually pay in reduced pay tables. We are interested in keeping costs as minimal as possible. Thus it is essential to play ONLY machines that earn tier credits at a 10:1 ratio. Now, playing at fifty cent credits and going to 3 hand play will generate 525 TC per hour (at 700hph) and you'll reach the 2500 base in under 5 hours and the max bonus 5000 base in 9 1/2 hours non-stop play. A lot of play but doable. My personal recommendation, and what I follow is to play dollars on a 10:1 machine at around 750 hph. This would yield 375 base per hour, but as most of you know, I play that infernal Double Pay which requires 10 credits to qualify for the full payout on the dealt RF. So I earn (10 x 750)/10 = 750 base per hour. I can easily earn the 5000 base TC in a gaming day to get the max 10,000 daily bonus- the once much coveted DIAD (Diamond in a day). Easy in that it takes a little over six and a half hours. Not easy in that my choice of games is terrible for riding out the highs and lows: read VOLATILITY. I have to have a very large bankroll to ensure surviving to meet the bonus plateaus. Be wise and find a better choice or be fully funded. It won't work if you get 4950 base credits but your bankroll is depleted!

Now, multiplier events- the holy grail of TC earning opportunity. Go. To every one you can. Until you make the 150k. Earn the maximum base to be multiplied. Once upon a time I believe there was no maximum that could be multiplied- you could theoretically earn SSID (Seven Star in a Day) by earning 15000 base on a 10X multiplier day- I guess actually 14000 with the daily bonus. Prioritize the 10X and multi-day events. Unless you have an unlimited bank, you'll probably have to exercise restraint and NOT go too often in between (If you do go on non-multiplier days, at least earn the 5000 or 10000 daily bonus). You'll need your entire disposable BR to use during the multiplier days. Even then a day or more of bad luck will derail your best laid plans. Go early in the week and avoid the weekend and the crowds that will take your seat and tie up the slot attendants that will cost you time. Plan to play non-peak hours with best machine choice and minimal distraction. Please don't forget to swipe to qualify for the earning period!

Enough. Here's the ideal method to earn Seven Star status:

* Bring sufficient bankroll.

* Play only machines earning at a 10:1 rate.

* Play at a steady but comfortable rate and denomination.

* Earn the 5000 (preferably 10000) daily bonus each day you play.

* Earn the max base credits available to be multiplied (usually 4000-5000)

* Reduce number of trips needed by playing to max daily bonus the day after maxing out your multiplier.

We'll assume they have two 10X multipliers at some point during the year. You'll need to go to both 10X multiplier events.

You earn 5000 base TC. We'll assume up to 5000 base credits get multiplied. So you'll have 5000 base, 10000 daily bonus and 45000 multiplier TC for a total of 60000. If you play the next day before you head out and get your 5000 base again, you'll add another 15000 for a 2 day trip total of 75000. Do this again at the other 10X event and congratulations, you've earned Seven Star status in two trips. I'll use my game to calculate the minimum theoretical cost. Full pay (9/7) TDB Double Pay has a return of 99.22%. In a perfect world you could get all your bonuses earning 20,000 base credits. At 10:1 you'd be churning $200k coin in. At 0.78% loss, it would cost $1560. Right. I won't hit the dealt royal, so deduct another 1%, so about 3500-4000. But if you find a better game, say regular 9/7 TDB at 99.46%, the lowest possible cost would be $1080. Or if you can stomach 9/6 Jacks that long- $920.

Of course, this assumes perfect play and average return over a relatively small sample size 20,000 hands or a half a royal cycle. If you nail two or more royals you'd be golden (not to be confused with Gold, which you might still be at if you get zero royals and similar bad luck along the way. Also known as "olds royal deficiency syndrome" or "FAA Quad-drought". Nothing beats getting paid to earn top tier status. If you truly want to keep your investment to a minimum, play at or as close as possible to perfect play and don't alter from basic strategy. No hunches for Caesars paid lunches. Good advice in general but essential for this pursuit.

The above is definitely an ideal yet improbable scenario. More likely the multipliers will be up to 4000 base or perhaps one at only 5X. Or you won't get seat time at your preferred cockpit. But there are a few other things you can do to inch your way closer. You can get a head start on the upcoming year- usually on NYE there is a two or four hour 10X that counts for the next year, so you can get a few thousand there. Have a family member or friend sign up "Share the Rewards" for 500 TC. Get the Total Rewards Visa and get 2500 and possibly up to 15000 TC for purchases. Earn 1TC for each dollar spent shopping/dining/room charges at a CET establishment. Personally, I don't take advantage of most of these. Any others?

I looked at the list of Seven Stars benefits and estimated over $4000 value for a person such as myself. There are lesser known perks that add to the overall value- two of my personal favorites are no cash advance fee and VIP check-in. And of course there is the prestige and the red card bling. Like everything else, it will continue to be more difficult and more costly to achieve Seven Stars, but I believe it is still worthwhile and is more attainable than the average gambler believes it is.

Good Luck. And by the way, I'm now a lowly Diamond Elite with next to no income (post-work pre-SSA) and a relatively modest discretionary bankroll- and I know many of you have been SS for years and years so please share your thoughts and correct my inaccuracies or experiences in earning your status. See you in the SS lounge. Next year. Maybe.

All good info, TT.

I didn't even take advantage of the flight credit when I was Seven Stars for a few years, the only credit I did benefit from was the $400.00 dining credit. I didn't even use the VIP Check-in as I didn't stay at any CET properties, even when I was in Las Vegas for work in 2024. The company paid for my room at The Cosmopolitan so I had no complaints there, lol.

I may take a swing at Seven Stars again this year but I will almost be guaranteed Diamond Elite if I play at CET properties a couple more ties this year. After my play of Saturday, March 27, 2026, I should be sitting at around 61,000 Tier Credits so far for the year.

Best of luck to you.
