I heard that all posts that contain  will not count in your total.

Seriously, Eduardo appears to be next unless you can ramp up your numbers real fast.

OEJ is an alias for anyone interested. I am getting closer to the magic 1000 post.

I thought that "oej" stood for your favorite VP game.

In addition to the commonly known Orange E. Juice, OEJ sometimes is known as an abbreviation for One Eyed Jacks.
Sorry for the incredibly vague reference.

Well, I'm back now... here is my final summary.

DDB really did a number on me this trip. What a ride!

As I said before, I got up $340 early on. My initial bankroll was $700, so that put me up to $1040. Then came the quadless streak from hades.

Playing a multitude of machines (all single line DDB) at different denominations, I managed to continue my drop all the way down to the last $50 (-$650 overall) without hitting a quad of any kind. I didn't switch over to deuces like I thought I might, but I did stick with quarters towards the end to slow the bleeding. Once I was below $150, it was nothing but quarters because I knew I would tank quickly otherwise.

Finally, down to my last $50, up came four aces. no kicker, but my bankroll was at least alive again at $250. I knew if I had any hope of getting back to even, I couldn't wait for aces a bunch more times so I decided to play dollars until I dropped back to $150 or so. But that wasn't to be. I proceeded to hit 5 full houses in about 5 minutes. At full pay, that's as good as a quad for $250 total. I was around $450 at that point and nailed a few inside straights in that time as well.

I played it down a little more while chasing a progressive that was over 5K but couldn't hit a thing. Back down to $250 I was back on the full pay machines and hit some quad 6s to push me back up to $500.

Now it was decision time... my trip was coming to a close and I was down $200 from my trip's starting point. I don't like to finish behind, and generally I play a "lose it all or come out ahead" approach. But having come back from $50 up to $500, I just didn't feel comfortable losing it all again to try to get back even. So I set a new low point where I was comfortable going home at, and played another $100 to try to get back even. Didn't pan out, but I left down just $300 instead of $700. So essentially I gave back my winnings from Mesquite a couple weeks ago. That was actually quite the relief since I was on the verge of my worst trip ever not long before.

I came back with a lot of new play experience... it was my first full trip on DDB and truly insane. If I had stuck to quarters the entire time it would probably have been less of a crazy ride. But it sure was fun.

Hopefully I earn some comps because I would LOVE to stay there again. Playing those full pay machines you don't earn the same comps, so I probably will only come away with a buffet sadly. We'll see.

This trip brings my lifetime win total to +$350 so far (not including the comps and cashback). I have used a total bankroll of $1,000 so I consider my overall budget now $1,350 for future trips this year.

Eduardo, all in all not the disater it could have been. Meeting BD, the way he figures things, had to add another $200 in comps.
