Right Cards - Wrong Game

Ever have those nights when the cards you get would be nice jackpots, but becuase you switched games, they're much less? 
 
Last time was playing SDDB and hitting 2 pair almost every hand, so switched to BP for a couple hands...next hand was 4 Q's with the Kicker. So $125 win instead of $800.
 
Guess that's the way it goes, sometimes you always pick the right game and I don't know that there is any particular strategy (other than playing the same game all the time)...but I find that a little too boring.

Once I was playing FPDW and was hitting one natural quad after another. I switched to DB and couldn't hit one. Switched back and the quads started showing up again.
 
OTOH, I've seen a person playing two credits switch to max coin and hit a RF on their first hand.

So true, there's 2 sides to the equation...and it can work in your favor some days and not at all on others. 

I've seen too many quad Aces with a 3 or 4 when someone is playing DW!  That would drive me nuts!

Shadow gets quads w/kickers often when he's playing OEJ's. Similar to 2's, 3's, 4's quads w/kickers playing NSUD or some other version only paying 125 for the quads! ARRRgh!

Most royals I've gotten lately have been while playing deuces wild.  Natural royal - no 2222222's.Can't complain, pays the same on quarters,but I don't understand why on deuces and not DDB.

Boops - what means ac jw?[/QUOTE]JW=Jokers Wild  and the AC game is a bit different than the Vegas game though it is not a game I play so can't tell you the difference.  I'm wondering...again DW is not my game of choice so I'm not as familiar with it.  Could it be that with the correct strategy, you hold more often with cards that will make a RF than you do with DDB?  It does seem strange otherwise, unless it is pure luck.

I think you may have hit on the answer.  While playing DDB I generally follow the rules, but on deuces wild, I will stretch a bit more, maybe. I'd be interested in what your game of choice is, if you would care to share.
