Re: "Gamble, drink and die"
Load up on the ammo big steve. The end is near. We shall start anew.
Lawyers, lobbyists and politicians up against the wall first.
I still can't believe that our fave VP expert hasn't stepped forward in this time of national turmoil by releasing all info on patterns and special plays. 100,000 players winning $10K a month works out to...ah...um...oh, you math people can figure that out. It's a whole lot of money that would be put back into the economy in a variety of ways and would get things going again in no time.

{ Nevertheless, since my employer matches my 401 k contributions I have no choice but continue to contribute to the mayhem as they will not donate matching cash to my personal savings account. And why not you might ask? Answer: It wouldn't automatically enrich the brilliant financial giants that lobbied Congress to pass the 401K bill.}
Finally a person who gets it. I have been trying to explain this to folks every since this whole mess started. Whenever I tried to enlighten people on this subject I felt like I was having a conversation with my dog less the tail wagging. Ever heard the term baby boomers? Guess how close they are to retiring? Follow the money.

Some of us have already retired. Those who have immediate need for money should have moved that money into conservative investments already. But, I'd wager a lot of folks haven't done that.
Now factor in a couple of the key states in the upcoming election have older populations.
However, it goes beyond us old farts. That's why we've seen a plethora of new ways to spend, spend, spend in the past week coming from both parties. I wonder where all that money is going to come from ... ?

Well there were quite a few folks who thought those retirement accounts were good as gold. I believe I've heard a saying that goes "don't count your chickens before they hatch". Walmart won't have any trouble finding greeters thats for sure but I'll bet they won't be so cheerfull (yeh, yeh welcome to Walmart, get your crap and get out).
As far as new ways to spend goes thats always been part of the political ploy to get in office. Both are getting a bit carried away though in my opinion. Saying you will do this or that is one thing, making it actually happen is another. I believe Obama thus far has pledged thus far another 1.3$ trillion dollars in new government spending. I'm not knocking the man because I doubt either presidential candidate is any better than the other (pick your poison) but democrats (such as Bush) have been the party of big government in the past. The problem with give, give and give is it requires take, take, take, take********* and take which folks who don't pay taxes could care less about. Next time you hit a royal flush at the casino how would you feel if they came to you and said: we have a few other players who are having a bad day and since you are doing so well we are going to take some of you jackpot and give it to them, you know spread the wealth. A plumber ask the question, "I make x amount of dollars per year are you going to raise my taxes" the answer was basicly, "yes but you have to understand you are doing so well so we need to spread the wealth". "It's time to stand up and be patriotic" meening it's time to pay more taxes. Whats so funny about this is McPlain may actually lose his home state to Osama. The current administration made the bed now we have to lie in it.

There are many folks in Arizona that don't like McCain and haven't for years. So, it wouldn't be that surprising if he lost his home state.
Does this year seem even worse than ever for spending promises? It does to me. I suppose the economic problems are to blame. Still, the future inflationary pressures are skyrocketing. We may soon be experiencing the double digit increases of the past.

He is having a hard time finding patsy's and huckleberries to train and swindle. But his scooter still gets 99 mpg. And his Pat's are loosing and Obama is in the lead, the red sox are about out. His life is shot, except for the 99cent wine at walgreens and the 1cent vp.
