One card draw to royal flush

Post by gr8bowlr »

Got a question for all here.  I was at my local casion here in so cal last weekend playing triple and five play ddb.  I had 6 one card draws for the rf, needing the 10 every time.  Now I have drawn the akq and j but never the 10 ever on a one card draw.  Now is it just me or is it because the 10 is a non pay card even if you pair it up?  I can't ever remember hitting a rf needing just the 10.  I know the odds of drawing the 10 are the same as the akqj.  Just one of those things that made me go hmmmmm.  Would appreciate your input.  Thanks much and looking forward to your input and opinions.

The odds of even seeing 6 one card draws for a 10 to hit a royal in a weekend are incredibly low. But these things happen... in fact, the odds of seeing any exact session that you experience are incredibly low. You'll only play the same session once in a lifetime most likely.  If you are suspecting that the machines are giving you this for some reason, then I'm sure it is something many people would observe. I doubt you will find that to be the case. It was just a crazy series of events.

Sorry you didn't hit, but it has nothing to do with it being a 10 instead of a face card. How many 4 to the royals did you see needing other cards that weekend and how many did you hit?

someone at showboat told me they just rent the vp machines in the casino.

Those were the only ones, and it was all in and 8 or 9 hour session.  And didnt hit any thing else either.

My last RF, a couple of weeks ago, was hit by drawing the 10 of diamonds. I also drew the 10 of spades for a RF a few months ago. I have 219 chances at 4RF this year and hit 4 of them. So, I guess the 10s rule.

In a session at an indian casino here in Phoenix 2 weeks ago I was dealt 4 to the RF 3 times in the 1st 10 hands or so and did not hit the royal. What's worse I was playing my favorite game there 9-5 DDB 10-play supertimes pay and I didn't hit it once in those 3 hands, that's 30 chances on 10-play. What's even worse on one of the deals I had a 5 times multiplier and the best hand I pulled was a flush.
Oddly enough I pulled 2 royals that evening, once holding 2 to the RF and once holding 3 to the RF. I have never noticed that the 10 comes out less often to fill a 4 to the RF than any other card. But what I have observed is that I have pulled many more royals when holding 2 or 3 to the RF rather than when I get dealt 4 to the RF. The reason for this is because we get dealt 4 to the RF much less frequently than 2 or 3, therefore the opportunities to pull the royal are far less frequent.

My last RF holding 4 to RF came playing 5 play in Lake Charles a week ago but I needed the K - clubs. Drew 1 RF and two hands with K's -spades/diamonds. Moved machines and drew 3 to RF fifteen minutes later and hit again needing the 10 and K of clubs. You never know. I hadn't hit two RF that close together. Surprising the RF two weeks before those two, a RF was dealt to me. First time for me to have a dealt RF while my wife has had three in the same three years we have been playing.

lit,

Were you playing 5-play when you were dealt the royal? That would be huge! I have never been dealt a RF, but I hope I do when I'm playing 10-play supertimes with a 10 times multiplier. Can you say 400,000 credits, or $100k on quarters...now that would be HUGE!!!
