Hopefully, this is just the beginning of a great run.

Sounds like a good run "as is"!

Vidopoker,

We are both retired educators and travel from Houston to Lake Charles (about 2 hours). We limit our funds but have been successful enough to generally be able to go several times a month when we are hitting and the "G-account" has money. The pay tables are really good for 25¢/50¢ compared to the other casinos in La. Better yet, the multi-hand 5¢ machines generally provide 99% return games including DW, DWB, Super Aces, TDB, and others.

While the wife can't stand to play multi- Ironic, because her second time to try multi- she was dealt a natural RF on 10 hands for a G-statement. But she compares the multi-hands to "reel slots". Me I love playing them.   I love being able to hit a RF and 4 Aces both today when I was down to 5-10 hands.   Until recently they even had 25¢ 3/5 play quarters with NSUD, 9/6 JOB, and 8/5 Bonus. Lost those last month along with two 100 play.

Yes, I get jealous too. But we each seem to have our streaks and we are averaging over two RF a month this year. (She has me beat 16/11 for the year but I play a lot of 50/100 so I don't spend as much time on the quarters/dollars.)

If your in the area, try the Isle of Capri-Lake Charles (25¢/50¢ VP). Go to Lauberge du Lac also in LC if your going to play $VP all their machines are 99% return on dollars.

I can't wait to hit my first royal! I play twice a month in Atlantic City. I stay overnight and have played and played until the very early morning. I win or break even, but still no royal!!

Hit two $1 royals on 9/6/5 DB (~98%) about 50 hands apart from each other in August.  It was 2:30 AM, too.  Both were standard 3-card holds on the same machine.  Our friend on the motorcycle would have been proud of me, but only if I had left after the first royal .~Benford's Law

Congratulations on the recent well-deserved Royals, Benford's Law.  You need to post more; we hadn't heard from you for a while and thought you might be lying in a ditch.

Thanks cd!     Heh, nahh, just been a normal year for me with the exception of that freaky night I just talked about.       Been busy with other pursuits and I haven't played as much VP as in years past.  The paytables here in the Midwest are rotten compared to Nevada.      By the way, I am neutral with the whole shadowman/motorcycle man argument...Just not worth my getting too emotionally involved with it.  I only like to share my strangest and best nights of playing once in a while just to make conversation.  (I had a few more minor strange VP occurrences this year, but it wasn't worth posting about.)      Once you know the ins and outs of VP percentages/strategies, what more is there to discuss aside from possibly timing the DEAL/DRAW button and, perhaps, money management?      If I play against bad games anymore I simply set up a "trailing stop loss" of 100 credits on JoB or BP, 200-300 credits on higher variance games.  This allows me to stick around for a short while if the machine is (dare I say it?) "hot" without losing too much back right away.             ~Benford's Law

The very same day I made that post to cddenver above (December 4th) I decided to visit some casinos that evening and nabbed a 50c royal ($2k) at 8/5 BP and 4 Aces w/kicker at $1 10/6 DDB ($2k).  Was never behind more than $10 the whole day.  Maybe I *should* post here more often....Even managed to hang onto the whole four grand.  Cd must be my good luck genie!~Benford's LawEDIT - Reason:  Compliments to cd.
