Re: Anything and everything
Having been a member of the black lung team for 55+ years I will weigh in here...
Last month I was playing DDB at the same machine for about 30 minutes when A nice lady sat down at the machine to my right. After I had another cig. she said, "would you mind not smoking as the smoke is drifting into my face." I said yes, I would mind not smoking, but if you want to I will change places with you. Since I had 18 credits left, and she had 15 left ( same game, same denom.) she said o.k.! We switched machines, players cards, and she became a very chatty, amicable person.
I think she must be related to the people who want to be seated in the " no smoking section" of a resturant but when told seats are only available in the "smoking section", says "Well, ok if I must".
There is a moral here, I'll let the crusaders amongst us figure it out.

Did you make your trip out here yet, ansoda? Casinos went smokeless in CO this year.
Back when it WAS allowed I'd take an end machine if one was available. I'd wet a finger, hold it up to check the wind, then plunk myself down.

last year at the Orleans i was playing in a row of 5 sit down vp machines. i was in the middle. about 30 minutes later, an older lady sat day two seats over on the far left machine. she was so dramatic flailing her hands and making tsking noises regarding the smoke. it was rather dramatic and over the top. there was another bank of 5 machines right on the other side that were all empty but she chose to sit near me and make a big stink over the smoke.
and i am always very considerate to non-smokers. for example, when i am playing 21, i always put the ashtray on an empty seat next to me (if possible) so the smoke won't blow towards the dealer. even if you are a smoker, it is annoying to have smoke blown directly in your face.
bottom line... if you don't like smoking, don't go to a casino or choose an area where there are no smokers!

YOU are paranoid and taking this too personally! No doubt she had her lucky machine staked out from her last trip and found you interesting as well. Try not to look so hot and you will not be hit upon in a casino.

That someone must of been your pal robbie. Alchol has a high tax also and god knows he puts enough of that away free at the casinos.

I agree with Marie. Vidopoker, if you weren't such a studmuffin the ladies wouldn't be coming up with reasons like that to strike up a conversation with you. Happens to me all the time; it's a curse.
