Can You Say Kicked Butt -Same Hand Twice

Wife and I just got back from taking my older brother and his wife for his traditional birthday trip to the casino. As we went to bed last night our phrase was, "Can you say it kicked our butt?" The machines murdered us, not one ticket. They only go once or twice a year so they wanted to play a little today and the last trip our day after play was worthwhile.

Wife is playing DDB and holds two Aces and hits 4 Aces with kicker 4 playing 10 coin/25¢. Awesome! She cashes out. I give her another $100 to play and she stays on the same hot machine knowing we have just another 30 minutes till we have to leave. Twenty minutes later standing next to her ready to go the machine deals her 4 Aces with kicker 4 in the same order. Pictures on her phone confirm order and suites. We LOL as we get in the car and she says, "Can you say I kicked their butt?"

Butt kicking is very common in high variance games like DDB. Today I played for two hours. In the first hour I got my butt kicked severely to the tune of $1400. But, revenge is so sweet. In the next hour I hit 8 quads including AWAK and 3WAK. Came home $2000 ahead. I guess I kicked  a little harder today.
 
Unfortunately, I tend to get my butt kicked more than I'd like.

Where do I go to find a list of variances for the popular VP games? I think this would be good information to have to help decide which games to play. I understand that the higher return games like DDB. TDB, etc. would tend to be more high volatility than JOB.

Ed, I was referring to the DB+ game. Since it is almost identical to DDB I usually use DDB terminology to keep it simple.

I second new2vp's comment and just add the variance is ususally given where the software products analyze the games and give the expected return.

It would seem to be in the 98 percentile range until you factor in the multiple points and CB/BB. I seem to remember it as 9/5, is that a fair guess? Or am I still sleepwalking?

It's 10/6 but pays less (200) for 5-K quads.
