i've visited glendale, arizona before for a few days. it was a nice area. my friend at the time lived across from a mall. i think it was on a street called bell road if my memory serves me correctly.

VP,

Yes Bell Rd is a major east-west artery in the north part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Bell Rd is over 30 miles long and travels from Scottsdale in the east to Surprise in the west. The mall you're referring to is the Arrowhead Town Center, I live and work only a couple miles from there. Yes it is a very nice area, no casino very locally though. Harrah's is in a town called Maricopa on an indian reservation about 60 miles from where I live. There are a few others which are closer (20-30 miles) and are also on indian reservations such as Casino Arizona and Fort McDowell. However, those casinos have no national affiliation such as Harrah's Ak-Chin and the players club is limited to those casinos where Harrah's is, of course, part of Total Rewards and can be used at any Harrah's property.

NEVER NEVER NEVER take a bus to a casino.  You are stuck at that casino for one reason.  Another reason is these busses are rolling death traps.  Everything from shoddy maintence to drivers driving tired and on drugs or alcohol.  Almost every bus accident going to or from a casino has been judged driver error because of the above reasons.  They are subject to the same regulations as truck drivers are.  They have to log thier hours and can only do so many hours in a day and time off is regulated too.  A few years ago in Jean, Nevada the highway patrol came on to the property and shut down about 30 busses in the parking lot for log book violations, and shoddy conditons on the busses.  But if you want to take a chance go ahead.  Personally I won't.  I can quantify my position on this as I am a commercial truck driver and am subject to the same regulations as bus drivers are.
