Hey New2vp,check me out at www.myspace.com/cooldaddyjoeI love to bass fish as you'll be able to see on my page.  I also have a knack for judging Bikini Contests in Orlando.  You'll also see that I have a life besides playing a video game.  I love country music...Chicken Fried is my current favorite song.   If you really are concerned about knowing me I'll tell you anything you want to know.   Just ask this big ol' dumb country boy.  For god's sake don't think that just because I can comprehend short term play strategy (unlike math zombies...I can talk I was one...) and actually enjoy my trips without the pressure of performing hours and hours at the machines that "OH MY GOD, ROB"S BACK IN OUR MIDST USING AN.........ALIAS!!!" you scared little man.  You must be miserable since you think you know IT ALL!!! What are you afraid of...a little dissent from your dream of math utopia?  Sorry to rattle your world dude. I always came to this sight to play the games I couldn't on VPFW.  I ventured into to forums for the first time today as I sit here numbed up from the chemo. (You can also see I lost my hair in some of the pictures on my web page)  I didn't even know the similarities that you describe of Rob and me.  That's kinda cool.  You know more about him than I do and I've spent two days with him.  As for the special plays ...  they were so easy even such a perceptive, knowing  person like you could learn them in 5 minutes or less.  I won't indulge...ask him yourself...His email is on his site.  As for knowing the machines at Rio and Harrah's I have this gift/curse that I remember and retain most everything just ask the High School (Belfry High School Class of 87) where I graduated Valedictorian or even easier the entire cast of Mamma Mia at the Rio where after the show we all got on stage and I played the songs from their show on the piano after only hearing them once....during the show.(Music is a gift)  Or anyone that KNOWS me.  So in short after scouring the building for the best pay machines and looking at almost every screen...I now notice since playing ARTT that the multi-denom / multi-play machines now have TBP.  Simple as that!! They didn't use to be there.  Still want to know the "special" plays?  There are only a few...go on email him and ask.  When I have questions I do.  He responds promptly and graciously.I am a 39 yr old 7 year veteran of video poker.  I own and operate a large music store and lesson studio in Central Florida.  We sell alot of Roland pianos (Thus, Rolanddude) But you probably knew that you intuitive soul. My name is Joe, I am also a reformed math player personally trained by Rob himself.  I've met up with the man twice as I said before.  The second time only to go get freebies at the various LV properties and to redeem Great Gift Wrap-up points.(Diamond Players do have more fun)  The night before we hooked up... I hooked up on a RF playing ARTT at Harrah's.  My playing was over.  You know it has been said that if you play with "it" too much you'll go blind.  "It" in this case is VP for alot of you guys.Again I am amazed at the scorn shown towards a guy who has done nothing that I know of to harm any of you "know-everythings".  Aliases, accusations, disregard, ...my god this is really hilarious!!  You are Soooooo insecure little new2vp man.JoeLook what you've gone and done...I'm pissed off now....Breathe....Breathe....much better.

I agree Damule they know what they're doing.  Me and cd were just hypothisising a little.I understand all too much about martingales having lost my a** once at BJ doing it.  ONCE!  lolI believe this is a little different...hear me out.  A martingale theoretically will pay off sometime in the future, problem is when and for how much.  This little system goes for 4 raises on consecutive hands in hopes of doubling i.e. two pair on BP.  If you lose 4 in a row you maintain that level of play until one of two things happen...1 you run out of the 200 credits you start with (the credits have to equal 200 X your highest denom.) or 2 you grind back to being up 5 credits as calculated back to your starting denom.  In case # 1 you go to an "advanced" vp game like TBP, DDB...The idea is something that has a sizeable jackpot for quads.  You  risk 800 credits on this level.  If you hit a quad early you can go back and start over...pocketing whatever you are up.  Or you can quit for awhile and go have some fun by the pool or whatever (I love girls in bikinis).  You might have to grind it out for a while with these 800 credits and losing isn't out of the question.  If that happens...end of session you're now a stat. So it does differ from a martingale greatly in that after 4 doubles you maintain that denom and play perfect strategy. It is designed for quick trips or hits.  Rob makes this clear in his training.  Losing a max of 1000 credits in any session is EASY to make up in future sessions.   Your not forever hurt like in martingale strategies.Hope this helped...and thanks for the welcome.Joe

cddenver,
I totally agree with you about that if they would make the games more attractive to play more people would play.  But the casinos have not figured that philosophy out yet.
Your right.

I'd agree that casinos do some pretty funky things sometimes that end up costing them.   Now and again we'll have a "Stupid Casino Tricks" thread.    But when it comes to activities that could cause omigod fines, possible revocation of licenses, and possible jail time for casino execs one would think they'd exercise better judgment in how they attempt to increase their revenues.

Closing thread. Sorry everyone, you can discuss "RS" theories and strategies here, but must do so without reference to him now. Doesn't matter if you have met him personally, subscribe to his newsletter or whatever else. If the theories hold any weight, you can certainly back them up with something other than "RS said so."  It's a big internet. Feel free to discuss the personal matters elsewhere. Thanks.
