RNG tinkering
Well I don't know if any of you play here in So. Cal. indian casions on a regular basis, but I do. Now this is just a personal opinion, and you know what they say about opinions. I really feel the indians have tampered with the RNG. I usually do okay while playing vp at the places i play at. But in the last couple months i have not hit diddly squat on any denomination. Nada nothing zip zilch zero, and neither have any of the regulars i run into either. Their stories coincide with mine. It all started when the talk about the RNG started on this site. Like i said, its just a personal opinion but i feel there is something to it because the indians are hurting just like nevada is and they are not regulated as strictly buy a state gaming control board.

CA has class III machines. It also has mostly negative return machines. Having heard this same stuff many times in the past, I can only say it requires more time to become statistically relevant.
I think this is where history might tell us something. The number of incidences of actual tampering has been extremely small, and in all cases the tampering was done by someone with inside access. The casinos do not have access to the inside programming of the chips that drive the VP games.

I know you are right shadowman, but something in the back of my head that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up tell me something else. Like I said its just a personal opinion on what I have heard from other regulars where I play, but makes me think the indians have done something below board to increase their profits more than they already have as thier take becomes less and less because of the economy. I was in a couple local casino on friday and really noticed the head count was way down from what it usually is for a friday night, as I am sure Vegas is noticing also. But as I find out more I will post. Thanks for the positive input though.

While I generally believe machines are honest I also believe it is prudent to be aware of the potential for misbehavior. I believe CDs two theorems on conspiracies have been proven valid. Of course, that just might mean it could take some time to discover problems. This is one reason I keep records and always watch how others are doing.
I did catch a casino that had a possibly cheating BJ dealer. The casino didn't do anything and dealer quit doing it after I called him on it, but you never know for sure. The dealer would bring his two cards together sometimes flip over the first card he was dealt and sometimes the 2nd one. No problem unless he was also getting a glimpse of one of the cards, then a big problem.
