We were in AC this weekend. slept over. I set my alarm (not the hotels)  for 730am. woke up and saw it was 724 so i closed my eyes I'll let hubby sleep another 6 minutes lol) and all of a sudden a loud loud loud alarm-Honey shut the alarm-its not the alarm-WHAT? "THIS IS A FIRE ALARM-THERE IS A FIRE CONDITION-EVACUATE-DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS.................." HOLY MOLY well I wasnt going down stairs in my pjs-no way-so I put on clothes really fast. Hubby too -what to take!!!!!!!!!! My pocketbook...................................and my KINDLE! LOL We were on the 71st floor-did u just faint?-but its the new tower so it was really only 11th I think. We went all the way down and we let out across the street from the main building in the rain! Everyone else was in pjs. 1 gal had on shortie pjs with a down short jacket and fuzzy slippers! Well it was a false alarm-thank God
-one gambling note-the dollar Bonus Poker pulled our butts out of the fire this morning -recouped a lot of our losses!

The building wasn't on fire but it sounds like BP was. Glad it was a false alarm. I would have probably taken my coffee pot too.

Okay, you had me. I was wondering where you were staying that had 71 floors and a casino. Glad you survived the false alarm. Did anyone just head back to the casino in their PJs or did they all go change first?

Webman I was thinking the very same thing, like: "When did they move the Sear's Tower to AC?" Boops, anybody have any feetzy pj's on?

THAT was an exciting story! Glad it was a false alarm after a good night's sleep and that you won afterwards!On one weird occasion, a very loud alarm sounded at the Stratosphere. "Everyone just stay where you are, quit playing and don't move!" came the announcement on the loud speaker. No one spoke, everyone just froze in place and stared at each other, ala zombies. We had never been in that casino before or since and had a meeting place for later. Eventually, someone announced it was a false alarm. Whew! That was October 2001. That was a dark time in our history when some others were saying "I'm never flying again, aren't you afraid to fly?" Nail files were being broken off nail clippers by airport security. We need to remember. On that same trip the old monorail that ran between Bally's and MGM had it's lights out and stopped HIGH above the ground at night, for a few minutes. That had never happened before when we were riding that tram. I had no clue how we could get down because I was not about to JUMP! A solo pilot crashed in a small plane and died on nearby Mt Charleston that week, in bad weather. We saw the recovery crew assemble the next day, while on a bus tour. We were so relieved to get home in one piece! It was a thrill to see wild, galloping mustangs from that Greyhound bus.

Ted no feetzy pjs that I saw! I dont know what the others did but we went up to the room and washed up and we were downstairs again in 1/2 hour lol There were a bunch of people sitting on the floor on my floor cause they were in the room under someone elses card and the front desk wouldnt give them keys without ID from the person whose name the room was in!

Boops, glad you were able to set off a different alarm with your VP. Even better still, is that nothing happened to you and yours. (except standing in the rain)

Yes we were in the Chairmans tower!
