Lucky Charm Royals
OK. So I don't believe in lucky charms but after the cold streak I've been in this past two months I was beginning to wonder if I would ever see another Royal. Two nights of gambling - three Royals. Yep, sat down to play and within two minutes a RF on a progressive for $4,600. The lady who hit the RF was sitting right next to me. Next night sat down to play same thing - lady next to me hits RF while I'm putting my money in. This is becoming a real downer. Play through a couple of hundred thinking this machines "feels like it going to hit a RF" Several 4 to RF- no hits not even quads. Move to other machines, take a break, walk around to relax and then come back to play the first machine an hour later. Guy sitting at the machines is completing his pay out from his RF. I call it quits for the night.
The VP odds are against me. Any suggestions?

I had a similar streak about 15 years ago when I was in Reno. It seemed like whereever I played the person next to me was hitting a RF. I know how frustrating that can be.
My wife had an even worse situation where it seemed like every time she left a machine the next person would sit down and hit a RF. Even though she knew she would not have hit one had she stayed, it was still very discouraging.

Eduardo,
Is that the chair to the left or the chair to the right? Thanks for the suggestions.
shadowman,
It is probably a sign to lay off and let time/fate change the karma. On the other hand, like a swimmer who almost drowns or a relief pitcher who get hammered I almost feel like I have to immediately get back in the game. My wife is in the same funk. Neither of us have hit a RF since mid-December. She is feeling even worse since she was on "great roll" averaging 2 1/2 RF/month last year. Besides, with the way the stock market has been going we made more last year on VP than in the stock market. We may have to come up with another retirement strategy. LOL

shadowman,
The streak is broken, RF within twenty minutes of play on Triple Play. Then kit AWAK twice and 4Aces four times within the next hour and half on 10 play. WOW! What a relief!!!
Too bad it was on videopoker.com and not at the casino. Still I take it as a positive sign. Right??

Yes, it's a very positive sign. Let's hope it carries over soon.
It seems like whenever I'm practicng a new game and then head out to a casino for some play (on a different game). The luckier I am during practice carries over to my real play. I know there is no logic behind it, just one of those things.

I have noticed this too. Back in my BJ card counting days, I use to practice on small hand held electronic BJ games. For about a week I was smoking the hand helds. The next trip I made to the casino I won over $3500, my best session up to that point. It seems the same for VP.
I've always wanted to try this experiment. Prior to a casino trip with friends, have some kind of "luck contest". This could be a coin toss, or cutting cards, or playing VP on a pc, whatever, as long as it shows that one of the particants seems to be having a stronger run of good luck. Then bankroll that person and see what happens.
