Re: Scoreboard
Deje Vue all over again. As far as being a member of a little boys club, I resemble that remark.

redleg you are correct that luck does play a part in successful video poker sessions. Math plays a big part too as so does getting as close to expert play as you can muster. I personally would not follow the betting strategies as outlined by rolanddude because I feel much more comfortable playing at one sustained monetary amount and knowing I'll be guaranteed a good payout if I do pull quad aces with a kicker at the .50 or $1.00 level. I would kick myself however if I drew that same hand at a lower end of a progressive betting strategy. Good luck in Las Vegas.

Yes, the math is important - but so is luck! You can't apply the math if you don't get the cards.
Of course you can apply math when your luck is poor. In fact, it is even MORE important to apply math then. By limiting losses when we are not getting good cards we allow our better sessions to make up for those losses and more.
Only by steadfastly applying the math at all times can we give ourselves the best opportunity to be successful.
No one is going to have good luck all the time. No one is going to have bad luck all the time. In fact, luck really is just an interpretation of random events and is mostly meaningless to anyone seeking to be successful at playing VP over the long run.
Consider this. I had one session last year where I lost $6300. I had another session just a few weeks before where I won $6700. Now, what if I had played all of the hands of these two session as one session. A small $400 win. Was I lucky or unlucky? Most people would consider a $6300 loss to be extremely unlucky, yet, I could have played these exact same hands as part of a $400 win that most people would consider to be lucky.

Theres no luck involved at all! It's clearly obvious to me that the RNG was tampered with or the machine would have paid out over 100% accordingly!

Whatever you do redleg, don't call it a hot streak/cold streak, bad karma, Friday the 13th etc. Michael Shackelford says that would apply in craps though! Most of the experts will agree that it's rubbish. Apply whatever play strategy you subscribe to and hope for the best. And for corn sakes don't upset the VP Gods!

It is getting hard to separate the wheat from the chaff in that regard. By that I mean identifying those who are here only to get people to contact our favorite expert, and those people who simply have a question or observation to make.
For some reason they all seem to have more in common with their mentor than just VP. Maybe we should start checking new posters to see if they have matching tattoos as well - "pull up that sleeve!"

CD, I don't have a problem with that remark. Prison life is tough and it's easy to get caught up in the moment. Even easier to disassociate those you normally talk to. I think we should petition the warden to give OEJ more rec time. This will keep his mind clear and free from argentino.
Little boys club? If you mean associating with the forum regulars, I'm guilty as sin. You might be the nicest guy i the world but I'd never know it by some of the "defensive" comments you've posted against this "little boys club."

r-boobhead wizard has a website. Ever ask youself why he doesn't have his own forum? Where they can all talk about the cycles, patterns, and all those so called free strategys, and all 1700 special plays.
I will tell you why. It is because all that stuff is a scam. If he can't get you to meet him in vegas he has nothing. All the magic stuff you want to know is reserved until he gets you in vegas when you find out he is full of crap and it is a scam.
