Re: Best Casino in Detroit?
Alas, when they revamped MotorCity Casino, they took out or moved those machines from the lower level. However, I found a DDB, .25, three play, 10/6 pay table at the far end of the main floor. One son wanted to visit John K King Used and Rare Books on W Lafayette to check out photography books. At his web site is link to two Utube videos that book lovers will appreciate. It's in a very old, no frills, former glove factory with TONS of books organized on four floors! In each stack of shelves you wish to visit, you pull a string to turn on the florescent overhead light and off when leaving, to save on electricity. Husband, two sons and I stopped at Greektown Casino only to use comps for their great new International buffet. We had no intention to gamble! So husband gave me $20. (!) and I turned that into $1600! Before that bill disappeared, I hit deuces on a .25 machine. I moved on to my lucky .50 DDB and soon hit a quad. I upped to $ and hit aces twice and a few more quads, ending a frustrating dry spell. I now regret giving $500 of that away for gifts and up-coming b'days! One son was taking street photos at night all over Greek Town area. Impulsively, we decided to take advantage of a mailed special $50 room offer for the hotel that just opened. Gorgeous lobby and very nice 19th floor room over-looking rooftops and city lights w just a glimpse of the Detroit River and Windsor skyline. We decided to use $85 in comps, mostly for baklava, at Astoria Pastry Shop. It's on Monroe across the street from Greektown Casino and consistently voted best bakery in the metro area. We had a special family function to attend that day and this made the perfect hostess gift. They have a gorgeous assortment of picture perfect yummies.

Micigan players, looks like you are getting a new Casino. Just off I94 near GR. I94 is advantageous for fast getaways with the Casinos money. Link is to Detroit Free Press business page article.
