Biloxi Casino VP opinions anyone?

Post by vplearner08 »

Hi,

New to the VP boards so a Hi to all.  I've been to LV, but not for many, many years. It looks like the majority of the folks here frequent LV.
I prefer Biloxi as it's much closer to Fla.  I frequent IP and IOC on my 2 or 3 annual trips.  I have been talking to a couple of coworkers though that say the Beau has some good VP machines.  I'd really appreciate anyone's input.     The last trip to IOC in Feb. was tough VP wise and I noticed they finally got quite a few new machines, but the pay tables remain unimpressive.
  Opinions and input appreciated.

Our trips to Biloxi take us to IP and IOC as well. They had the best play the last times we were there. You might check"google" VPFree2 to check the latest VP recommendations for Biloxi. It has been a year since we were there. Our daughter was there in Dec and played both.
Best wishes and hit a RF.

Lucky, thank you so much.  What a great site.  That is EXACTLY what I was looking for.  Both IP and IOC have added new machines in the past few months, so maybe the VP player is getting some more respect.  Now if they could work on the pay tables just a bit.

Thanks for your input.  And may you hit 2 RF's on the same day.

vp,
Was to Biloxi for a long weekend 2 months ago. Made a stop at all of the casinos and wound up playing mostly at the IP. Stayed at the Beau Rivage to use comps(really nice) but their vp paytables are very low and not many machines. Found out that the locals play at the Hard Rock. It was just o.k.for my tastes. The IP seems to be the best game in town for vp. Paytables are ok and lots of game choices.Good bars and food. I go to Biloxi for its proximity to FL., but it ain't Vegas!
Anyone been to the new casino Wind Creek in Alabama yet? Its about an hour closer to me than Biloxi. Will probably try it if its ok.

vplearner08,
I think the same thing about the site. I have learned so much reading here and searching the links.
Our IOC-Lake Charles has a slot director who brings in great new machines (slots only-even virtual black jack/roulette). We have talked frequently and he could care less about VP. He doesn't play it and he believes it takes away from his slot profits. Whether his decision or corporate's, they took out the 3/5 play machines that had 99% returns. He even took out 2/8 - 100 play 5¢ machines when people were waiting hours to play them. Put Keno machines in their place so the VP players have to listen to keno while they play.   We do have a few 9/6 DDB 25¢ machines scattered around and the nickels are still 99% return so I can't complain much.

Good luck at Biloxi, we love going there but six hours vs two hours is the difference.

Thanks so much for this info.  I haven't been to all the casinos since Katrina.  Visited the Grand and it has to be the most heartbreaking of them all.  The Grand use to be GRAND, especially the buffet.  But now, ugh.  What a shame.
Could hardly find the entrance and then it was so tough to find a way out.
Could you elaborate a little more on Hard Rock??  Pass it on the way to IOC, but just don't know if I wish to spend the precious time there or stick to one of my regulars.  Also, really appreciate the input on the Beau.  Haven't been since Kat, but I remember it was a beautiful casino, but the VP was not.
IP seems to be the best for selection.  They don't seem to mind VP players.  After all, with so many selections to chose from, I know I don't play perfect at most of the games.
Thanks again and RF's to you.

About the Hard Rock---- I was playing at the IP and went to one of their sports bars for a bite to eat (they serve up a really good ruben) when I picked up on a conversation between the bartender and an off-duty IP employee. They were talking about their good hits on VP and who else did what, when I butted in and asked where and they said Hard Rock. They said it was the best for VP because the pay tables are fair and the machines are rarely moved or adjusted. I just didn't care for the rather loud music(rock) there. They have a Ben&Jerrys store too!!

Interesting, might have to try Hard Rock and take the MP3 player with me to save my ears.  Thanks again for your insights.  Much appreciated.
