AC Trip Report
First, let me see if someone can give me a payback % on these 2 horrible Video Blackjack machines at Resorts:
Single Deck
Even money blackjack
No double down
No splitting
I'm guessing about 95% at best.
Here's the Trip Report:
Noticed lots of billboards on the AC Expressway offering "deals" not
usually seen like slot club sign up bonuses and great food deals.
They're starting to learn, the people are a lot frendlier too. Now
for parking-hint, hint-what do Penn., Deleware, NY and Connecticut
casinos charge for parking?
Five bucks less than AC.
Food
Carmine's at the Tropicana-great Osso Bucco (Thursday only special)
with risotto-$50-will easily feed 4. Side order of bow tie pasta with
chicken-$30. This place is truly tremendous.
Taj's Sultan's Feast-$21.00-Fantastic. Steaks cooked to order.
Shrimp, King Crab. Rotisserie chicken and so much more. Top notch
deserts.
Breakfast at Resorts Breadsticks-French Toast $9.99-great. Resorts
buffet is CLOSED on Friday nights-weekends only. Guess everyone is
walking to the Taj and Showboat for their first-rate buffets.
Gambling
Cycled $300 through Resorts new Boogie Nights slots-played with Ike
Dollars. Loud and entertaining. Hit for triple 7's and cashed out
$200 ahead. Cycled $5000 through the Taj's two 50-play Jacks Or Better
machines (7-5-yikes!) came out $130 ahead. Played single coin JOB the
rest of the time on Resorts two last 9/6 quarter machines and a tiny
bit on its horrendus 2 video blackjack games. Anybody compute this
payback percentage-no splits, no double downs, BJ pays even money.
All the dollar and up BJ in the Taj that I saw has all been downgraded
to 9/5.
General
The beach in the warm weather is SO much better than the microwave
that LV will quickly become.
I had a chuckle finally realizing that progressive ****hole New Jersey
actually has a (slightly) lower sales tax than LV. Not going to stop
Corzine from getting his corrupt leftist ass booted out in November
from my conversations with several locals. Cocktails now very easy to
get at Resorts-couldn't make me a Blue Hawaii though. In 2 hours `at
Taj didn't hear the word "cocktails" uttered. Resorts Burger place
now has a half-pound Kobe burger with fries for $14.95. Must try it
if the Good Lord gets me out there by the end of summer.
Next up-MGM at Foxwoods in June for my first time.

Wow! 15 clams for a burger and fries? That better be a cut of steak between those buns. I understand the story behind Kobe beef and all but are you willing to give that much of a cut back to the house? Perhaps if they comped it for you?

Mikeinri : The next time you come to A.C. Try the buffet at Harrah`s or the Borgata. There buffet are around $30 ( if I remember correctly ) but they are very good and have a larger selection of food.

Parking is free in the two Connecticut casinos. I would skip your trip to MGM at Foxwoods not worth it. Horrible pay tables on all there vp games. Plus it's a small edition to Foxwoods only 1500 slots and a hand full of table games. Head over to Mohegan Sun much better casino all around vp selection excellent and pay tables pretty good.

I do enjoy buffets for the variety. But if a burger is good and fills you up, it sounds like the $15 burger could be a smarter play than the $30 buffet, if you're in the mood.

Yo Eduardo, I won't argue with your reasoning but wouldn't you expect an 8 oz. cut with veggies for that price? Realistically, that'll get you three six dollar burgers at Carls.
