I have in the past fended off a few pesky knats from other casino patrons. These pests scout out possible marks and prey on them because they may seem weak, I have no time or patience for these predators. The only time I have ever had an issue was a minor one in Iowa. A guy sat down next to me right at the time I hit a $1,000.00 payoff on a vp machine, he was all congratulatory and told me how lucky I was. I told him in no uncertain terms that I wasn't buying what he was selling and it was in his best interest to move on otherwise he was going for a swim in the mighty Mississippi. His clothes stayed dry.
 
Marie did have an excellent suggestion for the women on this board though; look around and make a comment to the effect that you are looking for your husband to meet up with you. If that doesn't work look for a casino worker or another friendly face like mine. Ted.

That Ted-meister. What a gentleman. Good advice. Don't be ashamed or afraid to yell "security" if you are intimidated in any way. They don't like that kind of attention and raising commotion will usually get rid of them. This is a more common occurence as the economy stays weak.
