Straight Flush
I had complained about not hitting anything last time I posted I think. Well went to casino on Tuesday and sat down with my last six dollars that I was going to play with and was dealt a straight flush. I was going to just play a dollar at a time but hit the max button (habit I guess LOL!)
I won back the money I came in with and left $150 up! So it was a nice way to end the day.
You might find me whinning a lot here if that helps me come out a winner at the casino.

Always happy to hear a success story! HOW do those machines know when we are out of money and about to give up VP forever. They sure know how to feed our addiction with a hit of some sort at zero moment! I hear "don't go, don't leave me!" all too often from those smart machines that know how to prey on my sympathy.

Wilcox, I think you'll find unregistered whining is not allowed. Please stop to see CDDenver on your way in next time to register your complaints or grievances and you'll receive a guest pass for whining.

congrats! we all complain (well, at least I do) when we have losing nights at the casino.
and great hit on the straight flush. they are so hard to come by. I will never forget the time I was dealt a straight flush on triple play at the Stardust years back. has not happened since.
ps, what casino where you playing at ?

I was playing at the local casino for me--Harrahs Casino at Metropolis, Illinois. I was playing bonus poker 8/5 pay. Most of the time I play jacks or better 9/6 but it only pays 2,500 for royal. I figured if I got lucky and hit quads I would make more playing the bonus poker. I did go home and will bring the winnings back but keep my money for another day.

vidopoker most of the time I play single line and either quarters or dollars. It depends on the best pay that I can find. At Metropolis the best pay is on five machines that are all dollars, two dollars, or five dollars.
My uncle sat down with forty dollars on one of these machines and did not realize that he was playing five dollars--he was thinking nickels. He lost $25 on first play and was wondering what happened? So he played one coin and four aces! He was happy except he had only played one coin--he was playing double double bonus poker.

Wilcoxfun, in his reply da Cat pointed out that we have some strict guidelines that must be followed as regards whining:
1) The more, the better.
2) Never apologize for it.
Everyone here can tell the experience level of a player by the quality of the whining. You'll need to ramp yours up - try practicing in front of a mirror before posting again.
P.S. Congratulations on the winning session. We all hope to win big when walking into a casino; but if you get some play in and walk out with more than you walked in with that isn't too bad either.

Wilcox:
I'm glad your uncle got the 4 A's but that sux it happened when he played only one coin. go figure?!?!
One of the casins I go to here in Cali has the game i like (triple double bonus) but only in 50 cent (3 play) and quarter (10 play). I don't like having to play that much per hand but they have the best pay schedules around and it's the closest so that's how it goes!
when i go to vegas, I play quarter (5-play). Cannot afford two or five dollars and don't prefer to play single line. Used to play double double like your uncle but I love the extra payout on the 4 awak and 4 234 w/ kicker. Every trip I go I hit it at least once!
anyway, keep us in the loop on how you do on your next visit!
