my first royal
I had my first royal this past Monday. I don't play much, maybe a couple of weekends a year for the past 3 or 4 years. Usually those weekends I only get to play about 10 hours a weekend. I was at the Atlantis in Reno and this was the last evening before having to return home. I couldn't find any full pay job so I had been playing video bj. I had found some 96 job and decided to try them. It was getting late and wasn't doing well. I inserted my last bill for the night and when I was getting pretty low and was thinking that I would call it quits when it was gone. With $2.50 left I was delt Jc, Qc, Ac, X, X. When I held the clubs and hit deal, I just glanced at the results and saw two more clubs so I thought, good, a flush. It took another 10 seconds or so to realize it was a royal!

Very nice!
All these stories about first royals! It could be a sign that mine is soon to come?
Great hit BruceinGa. It sounds like you played even more than me before getting your first so I can't complain.
Great that you hit it on your last $2.50. Out of curiosity how much did you start the weekend with?

Eduardo, I started the weekend playing video bj because the job machines that I checked were terrible, something like 6,5! I was probably down about $120 so I decided to look some more for the 9,6 job machines. I was near the end of my second $20 when I hit. I'm not a big gambler so my limit would probably have been about $300.
I spent most of my time playing in a senior softball tournament.

That's much better, Bruce. Congratulations!
If you don't hit another RF in your next two or three sessions, be sure to come back here and start whining. Then you'll really fit in with the rest of us.

Bruce,
Congratulations on your first RF. My first one also came on 9/6 JOB. Hope you hit many more. My wife's RF this week came in her last few dollars as well, so don't lose faith or hope.
Haven't played in Reno but would like to some day.
