Ed, LA tore up the city, eh? Kudos to the Lakers anyway. Faygo; funny you mention that. I e-mailed Marie telling her how embarassed I was by the antics of some drunken idiots who celebrated a Laker victory by trashing parts of the city. A World Championship shouldn't be cause for a near riot. Obviously we don't think alike. Many are out-of-towners who drive in, wreck the halls, then leave.

It is really something how the outcome of an important event can hang on one small thing. Did they tell you it was small? Idiots are going to put on a parade anyways. Lakers and the city will split the $2M cost. Police will eat the remaining balance if the crowd doesn't eat them first. I went in 87 and again in 2000 and quite a difference in the way the crowd behaved.
