Re: Be careful at your BANK
Guide books warned not to exchange money on the streets because of the counterfeiting. "I can't watch this!" TWO very American-looking and sounding con artists handled the exchange with a large stack of colon (sic, their $) the Moral of Maries story? Always check your colon!

I was sitting next to a woman in LV that received a hand pay and later tried one of the $100 bills in her machine. After it was rejected she asked the casino for a new bill and was told it was counterfeit. She couldn't prove the bill was given to her by the casino so they would not give her a new one.

I never get cash from anywhere but a cash machine, even if I'm already at the bank. That probably avoids this problem.

Is not the eyes in the sky good enough to read numbers on the bills to confirm that hand pay bill was conterfiet?
Also are cash machine and atm bills guaranted to be not conterfieted?
Are you a legal citizen yet Euardo?

Every time I have trouble using a bill in a VP machine, I wonder if it's counterfeit and am thinking in terms of where I received that bill. I have heard of counterfeit Jackson's, forever. However, in recent months, I have read that counterfeit bengies are on the rise. Investing in one of those special markers is sounding better to me.

The indian casino i go to in CA uses that black pen to check to see if the bill is counterfit. However, in Vegas, I have yet to see a casino who checks at the tables whether the bill is fake or not. They just change the money. I have read before that those black pens are not fullproof.
When at the indian casino last visit, I told the dealer who was marking the bill that the money came straight from their Atm. He said it could still be fake. Later in the evening another dealer told me that if the money came from their atm, it couldn't be fake b/c it would have been caught.
Apparently, every casino and dealer has their own take on this situation.

Ah yes the old funny money story. That happened to me 5 years ago here in Ca. Right after they put in the machines to cash your tickets. Stuck a 900.00 ticket into one of them and during the course of the day had 200 left. Tried both of them in a poker machine and they wouldnt go in. Changed them out with a change person and 20 minutes later or so tribal police were tapping me on the shoulder. I told them I got them out of thier machine and they said that was impossible. I told them if I wanted to use phonies I wouldnt have drove an hour plus I would have gone to a closer casino to where I live. They checked the tapes but to no avail for me. I was out the 200 threw my players club card on the tribal police chiefs desk and told them they had gotten the last of my money and what i thought of them cheatin red bastards. Havent been back to that one since. Moral of the story, you cant even trust the indians.
