i play vp for fun although i play fpdw within .25% of perfect allowing for an occaisional error at the 25c level that would be a 5.00 per hour job plus comps i play more live poker for profit vp is to get room and food comps. even this site downgraded its games with the training feature it would be nice if we could have fp games with the training feature. if this trend continues the only vp we all would be playing is on this or other free sites. the casinos are so stupid they are looking only for short run profits and failing to realize those players will not come back which will kill all games including live poker and the casinos themselves. i like the posts from mickey crimm and lazy ace although they only tell about the past exploits they were able to find it shows fellow players creativity in securing profits

Right on, royal flush. One of my biggest plays over the past few years has been the 3/5 play dollar machines in The Palms high-limit room playing NSUD deuces wild which pay 16/10 for 5oak/full house. With the cash back this was a profitable play with a return over 100%.

The high-limit room was never busting at the seams with players, but there were always several machines occupied whenever I'd walk in. A few weeks ago I returned for the 1st time since March and I had the room to myself. Sat down at my favorite machine and wouldn't you know it, the deuces wild paytable has been reduced to 15/9, just like most of the multiplay quarter machines all over the floor. Checked all the machines in the room, there were no 100% games left at any wager level. There was now no benefit or incentive for me to play here any longer. Obviously this is why the room was empty.

This is an example of a casino being greedy. They had been making plenty of money with the less than 100% games all over the floor from the lower level locals, the tourists, and the unknowledgeable players. Why would a casino alienate it's best customers, especially in this economy.

I decided to check out The M Resort when I saw what happened at The Palms. Glad I did. Great paytables, beautiful casino, my new favorite casino. Hope they don't follow suit with what The Palms and others have been doing.

we are not the best customers in the casinos eyes they want people who throw their money in slots and poor paying vp and sucker bets on table games the casinos even downgraded slots. this shortens the time a slot player gets to play which is pissing them off and cutting comps they will stop going to casinos and finding other ways to spend their vacation dollars. casino managers have thick skulls and it wil cost them for many years long after this recession is over

Greed, Greed, Greed will keep the Casinos going for about 5 more years, then they are all going to go out of business (or most of them anyway) unless they start CATERING TO LOCALS & PEOPLE UNDER 70 YRS OF AGE.

I was recently asked to attend a focus group by my local casino.  I was paid $75 to attend.  There were 3 of us in the room under 50 yrs of age. (I am 47) There were approx 15 people.  Most of them were dollar bar players in the 70 yr age range.  Those people wont be around in 5 years

Call it harsh , cruel or whatever you want but here are the facts. They will be dead or too bedridden to leave the house in a few years to go out and gamble. That leaves a new generation coming up like myself and others who have discovered many ways to occupy our time with computer games and so on, we leave the house about once or twice a month to go to the casino and believe me you what we are giving the casino wont be able to support the business.

They REFUSE to cater to anyone under the age of 30 yrs old. They wont even ATTEMPT it. I had all sorts of ideas on how to get this new young online gaming crowd to come in and play to keep them in business.

I did a small survey with the 18 to 20 yr old group , they said they wouldn't even waste their time going into a casino when they turn 21, why????? Well because they see how TIGHT the casinos are with their parents and older friends and their TOO SMART  too go and waste their money, they would much rather spend it on WOW games etc and have something to show for it rather than 10 minutes of play in a smokey casino.

So lets all enjoy the GREEDY MOMENTARILY DRIVEN Casinos for the next few years and then say bye bye..................................

Um yea thanks for letting me rant. Have a great day

I think casinos along with many other businesses will change within the time frame you refer to, 5 years.
Things will be different.
