Fixed...No Good Deed Goes Unpunished, Well Almost!

Post by Casino Knight »

I guess it works now.A couple of days ago the wife and I decide to grab some Free Play and food comps from one of the local Indian Casinos. While $50. isn't much in Free Play, added to $40. in food its worth the 15 minute drive. We normally use the food comps from this particular casino in the deli and order it to go.  It's ideal for those nights when you come home and find the kitchen is closed, if you know what I mean.Well, she downloads the $50 into a $.25 9/6 BPD and right off the bat hits a quad for a hundred bucks.  Cashing out we now split the pot and I head over to the $.25 Progressive that is sporting a $2200.+ Royal on a 8/5 JOB.  I'm not thrilled with the pay table, however, I am thrilled with the jackpot.I firmly believe the reason this progressive bank of machines grows so large is because the "geezers" play one coin, for hours on end, with no clue about the game.Playing max, I get my machine over a hundred bucks when the wife shows up to "watch me" play.  You all know how much fun that can be.  Well being Mr. Nice Guy, I offer her my machine, coins included and slide over to an empty machine, and she sits down to play.  Well you know what happens next.................Yes, indeedie my friends, she hits the BIG ONE.  But we're partners, been that way for 42 wonderful years.  So, she offers to "loan me" a hundred bucks, which I graciously accepted and head over to the $1 MG/MD machines.Again, this bank is loaded with one coin geezers.  Mostly $.25 keno players, but this bank has the only $1 VP in the joint.Inserting my hundred, I start out on BPD, and catch a quick quad.  Two more hands and another appears.  Changing to DDB, and within 15 minutes, I'm cashing $2k+ with no W-2 G.  I'm on fire.I reload and switch to TBP.  I'm down about 30 dollars when the wife appears and decides to "just watch", because she isn't about to break into her new found stash.  Not knowing that I've stashed $2K myself, I offer to let her have this machine when I play it down to $50, of course she agrees.Well, luckily for me, on the next hand I draw 3 to the Roayl in the middle and hit the button, and low and behold..........................I had intended to end this story here and tell everyone that we lived happily ever after.  But.............................The morning mail brought another  damn Free Play Offer and away we went....The first stop was at a CAsino I can't really stand because it offers NO playable games and poor customer service.  Their VP in my opinion is worse than on a cruise ship. The game I chose was lessor of evils at this place. A 7/5 TDB and was sucking my $100 free play like there was no tomorrow.  Not one pair until it dealt me a couple of Aces............along with two more and a deuce.  Not letting the door hit us in the butt , we're on our way out.  We'd thought about grabbing a sandwich here until we overheard another couple complaining how bad the food was. After lunch at the Cracker Barrel, we headed to Casino Arizona.  The place was pretty busy but there were a couple of seats available on the $1 Progressive in the High Limit room.  The jackpot was over $7k and I asked the wife what she thought.  She said, "I'll play but you're going to hit that.  So I did.THE ENDPS.  I invested $200 to hit this last jackpot, won from the original $50 in Free Play.PPS.  Have you ever noticed how testy some folks get when they've been hammering away all day on a Progressive and a new person sits down, and within a span of 15 minutes hits the Jackpot?  Some get down right nasty.  Maybe it has something to do with what my Daddy told me years ago.  "The only thing worse than a Poor Loser, is a Good Winner".  The wife later told me that if I had been playing in a football game, I'd have drawn a penalty for "taunting and doing my happy dance".  Oh well.CK

Congratulations!  Those are some very pretty pictures.  I hope your luck continues.  (Actually hoping the luck rubs off on to us, here, too....)

Normally, I'd tell anyone reporting wins like that to go buy some Powerball tickets, but I think with wins like that you should stick with VP.

Thanks for the kudos on the wins. As for posting pics, ask Faygo, is my answer. I have to be re-trained on how its done every time I try. Apparently the pics have to be stored on photo bucket.  From there your guess is as good as mine.BTW.  I caught a damn cold at the leper colony, and can't even enjoy spoils of our wins.
